We’re proud to announce that Opsys Technologies industrial sensor, the ALTOS, has attained NEMA TS2 certification🙌. The ALTOS platform supports multiple applications for safety requirements in industries such as Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS), Smart Cities and Perimeter Security. To pass the NEMA TS2 certification, our unique non-moving parts scanning LiDAR was tested under extreme conditions, such as: ✅ -34°C (-30°F) to +75°C (+165°F) ✅ Humidity up to 80% ✅ 0.5G vibration over 5-30Hz frequency range ✅ 10G shock test The certification ensures that the equipment can perform reliably, no matter the environmental or electrical challenges😁. Opsys Technologies is proud to announce a partnership with AvantiR&D, experts in mobility and smart city solutions. We are working together to shape the future of smart cities by making roads safer for both vehicles and pedestrians. At Smart City Expo, AvantiR&D will demonstrate a system utilizing Opsys ALTOS LiDAR sensor to detect vulnerable pedestrian and bicycle traffic and communicate this information to approaching vehicles at intersections. The exhibit will highlight the advantages of the LiDAR-based solution over similar camera-based systems, like those Avanti has successfully deployed in Tartu, Estonia.
