In the realm of surgical innovation at Sealantium, designing a transparent hemostatic patch is a critical factor for us that can significantly enhance procedural outcomes. Sealantium's sFilm-FS stands out as the only transparent hemostatic patch, offering surgeons the unique ability to see beneath the application site. This feature is crucial for monitoring the bleeding site, ensuring precise application, and improving patient safety. The sFilm-FS has an additional benefit of flexibility, making it an ideal tool for minimally invasive surgeries. Its adaptability allows surgeons to confidently address bleeding in complex procedures, enhancing both versatility and efficiency. Sealantium's technology represents a significant advancement in surgical care, offering unparalleled support in achieving optimal outcomes.

It's been one year since October 7th, a day that will always stay with us. As we pause to remember the pain and losses we’ve faced, our hearts go out to the families of those still held captive. We stand together in our hope for the safe return of all hostages. United, we will keep fighting for their return home. #BringThemHome #NeverForget

Active hemostatic patches have emerged as a significant advancement in the field of skull base reconstruction, particularly in endoscopic applications. These patches are designed to effectively control bleeding and promote healing in complex surgical environments, such as the skull base, which is a highly sensitive and anatomically challenging area. The recent study highlights the efficacy of active hemostatic patches in endoscopic skull base surgery, demonstrating their ability to improve surgical outcomes by reducing bleeding and enhancing tissue adhesion. https://lnkd.in/dp3VSeqa

𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐲, 𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐚 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤𝐬? They come into play when conventional methods fall short. While current hemostatic agents, fibrin sealants, work well for shortening time to blood clotting during open surgeries, they are only marginally effective during intense bleeding and cannot be used during minimally invasive procedures. At Sealantium Medical, we have solved this problem with the sFilm-FS™! Learn how > https://lnkd.in/ecV3bgpv #bleeding #surgery #hemostatis #medicaldevices

Learn from our CEO, Orgad Laub, how the sFilm-FS™ unique patented technology enables both tissue sealing and homeostasis to transform how surgical bleeding is managed today.

Excessive blood loss can have dire consequences, including hypovolemic shock, reduced tissue oxygenation, and compromised organ function. By managing bleeding effectively, we can mitigate these risks and increase the likelihood of a successful surgical outcome and patient recovery. Over the past 20 years, a number of hemostatic agents and tissue sealants have been developed and are currently used in various surgical disciplines to control bleeding and repair wounds. Hemostatic agents act to stop bleeding either mechanically or by augmenting the coagulation cascade (blood clotting), whereas tissue sealants are products that bind to and close defects in tissue. Yet, without any significant innovation in the last few decades, today's fibrin sealants are often of limited use, have limited effectiveness and can be costly. This is why we are developing the sFilm-FS™. Leveraging a novel mechanism of action, sFilm-FS™ acts as both a hemostat and sealant enabling faster hemostatic, better performance - all at lower cost! We are also designing our solution to enable its use, not just in open surgery, but also in minimally invasive surgeries (MIS) for the first time! Surgeons and patients deserve better tools, and we are committed to developing innovative solutions to support them in this crucial endeavor. Its unique mechanism of action offers swift hemostasis and tissue sealing, outperforming competitors in clinical trials. It also uniquely can be used for minimally invasive surgery, providing a cost-effective alternative to open surgery. Additionally, sFilm-FS/MIS requires less fibrinogen and thrombin than alternatives, offering superior cost-effectiveness for healthcare facilities.
