Surgical Robotics for Brain Surgery - Where Every Millimeter Counts.
עלינו
Tamar Robotics is developing an endoscopic surgical robotic system for bringing the benefits of minimally invasive robotic surgery to “small cavity” procedures such as in the brain, spine, head, and neck. The Tamar system has been designed from the outset for small cavity procedures. Based on innovative kinematics, the system enables highly accurate and safe robotic surgery in highly challenging workspaces where robotics currently cannot be used, offering improved clinical and economic benefits for millions of procedures annually worldwide. The Tamar system is currently being developed for use in neurosurgery where it will bring clinical and economic value in brain procedures such as pituitary, intraventricular, and skull-base tumor removal, as well as removal of gliomas, intracerebral hemorrhage, and other brain mass. The company was founded by Prof. Moshe Shoham, a world-renowned expert in medical robotics and founder of Mazor Robotics (acquired by Medtronic), following 5 years of research at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. The company is led by a top-tier team bringing extensive experience in the development of complex medical technologies.
