Had always heard about moodboards but never really put one together—until my last 10kdesigners breakout session!⚡ The task? Create a moodboard for a Golf Club website, and while I’m not sure if we nailed it or not, I definitely got to know why moodboarding is such a game-changer in the design thinking process.🤯 Turns out, it’s not just about throwing pretty pictures together! We need to set the right tone for the project. We ended up exploring two different directions: One that’s cool, quirky, and has kind off an old-school sporty vibe and another that screams premium, minimal, and effortlessly chic. It’s interesting how design keeps surprising me—there’s always something new to learn.... EACH DAY! They say, 'don't judge a book by its cover 📔' but let’s be real - we all do. And in design? That “cover” is everything. It’s the first thing people notice. It shapes their entire perception. In last session at 10kdesigners, we explored just how much that matters. Turns out visual design is about way more than just making things look pretty. It’s about: → Trust: Can users rely on this? → Perception: Does it catch their attention, or is it just...meh? → Positioning: Does it stand out or get lost in the crowd? → Communication: Is the message crystal clear? → Memorability: Will people actually remember it? → Experience: Is it smooth and enjoyable or just plain frustrating? Abhinav broke it down beautifully with this chef analogy 🧑🍳: Designers, like chefs, need to develop taste. By observing, experimenting, and learning constantly. Biggest takeaway for me? Good design isn’t just decoration. It’s the handshake, the vibe, the trust-builder - and sometimes the deal-maker. At the end, moodboarding session was great, connected with Supriya, Vednt, Kshitija, Vishal and Gargi. What do DigiYatra, Paytm Wallet, and Road Rash’s "Iconic kick" have in common?✨ Yesterday, in the 10kdesigners session 1, the convo got 🔥. Tanvi Jain couldn’t stop hyping DigiYatra🛫, Akshit swore by WhatsApp🗳️. Manan Mathur was buzzing about moving from desktops to laptops💻Prabhav Bhargava was blown away by Amazon’s AR feature that drops 3D furniture into your home🛏️. And Sanket Urane OG vibes with the first-ever Paytm Wallet launch📱. Oh, and let’s not forget the Bounce game🚀—and Road Rash🛣️, where we all agreed the kick wasn’t just a move, it was a lifestyle. Even Abnux, our host, couldn’t resist the nostalgia! But here’s the twist: Abhinav Chhikara then took us on a time machine, tracing design’s roots from WWII tech innovations to the ’60s counterculture to the GUI revolution and personal computing’s golden age. Mind. Blown. Design isn’t just making things pretty—it’s shaping history. What’s the first product that made YOU say WOW?

Just wrapped up a quick assignment for 10kdesigners creating an moodboard. It was such a fun experience! As someone with a background in architecture, I’m used to crafting moodboards for spatial design, but this was a completely different challenge curating vibrant, youthful, and community-driven visuals. From modern branding to inclusive experiences, every element focused on breaking the stereotype that golf is only for an elite few. Was this weekend just like any other? No 😄 It was the weekend my cohort by 10kdesigners started & I can’t be more elated. Session 0 of C10 — was an amazing experience, bonding with everybody who I’ll be sharing the next 16 weeks with. This marks my dedication to lock-in & ensure I work heads-down for the next few months on my design journey & reap the right benefits! Thanks to Abhinav Chhikara for being such a great host, not only is he a design influencer anymore, but also one of my educators I’ll be learning from now.
