On 14 November, we proudly marked our first Quality Day at Agratas with special celebrations both virtually and at our Sanand site. This year’s theme, Quality: from compliance to performance, resonates well with our commitment to embedding excellence into every aspect of our work.   The week began with a company-wide virtual Quality team functional overview, uniting all our teams to emphasise the vital role of quality in everything we do.   At Sanand, over 60 team members gathered to celebrate with a series of engaging activities. The event began with a safety briefing, followed by a discussion on the significance of World Quality Day. Team members shared their thoughts on "What Quality Means to Me" using sticky notes, creating a powerful visual of our shared dedication. Highlights included inspiring speeches from our leadership, a lively quiz competition, distribution of special badges, and plenty of selfies and camaraderie.    Our slogan for 2024, "I am AGRATAS Quality Architect," highlighted that each of us is a vital part of building quality from the very start. Through engaging activities, we raised awareness and embraced our Quality Policy as a team.    A big thank you to everyone who made our inaugural Quality Day so impactful. Together, we’re not just building products; we’re building a legacy of world-class quality at Agratas. 

Yesterday, we were at the Houses of Parliament, sponsoring an event for the launch of the Great South West's Clean Energy Powerhouse Prospectus. The event marked the contribution and potential the region has to enable clean growth and energy security for the UK. We're proud to be a part of the community in the South West, supporting their mission to drive the UK's transition to net zero.

On-site with Tim Williams, our UK Community Engagement Manager   Last month, we hit the halfway mark for Building One piling at our Somerset facility, and concrete pouring is officially underway! Our UK Community Engagement Manager, Tim Williams, was on-site to share our progress.   Tim works closely with a whole host of local stakeholders, including residents, Somerset Council, and the Somerset Chamber of Commerce to keep the community informed and involved as we construct the UK’s largest battery cell manufacturing facility.   We’re proud of the progress the team is making each day on this ambitious project, bringing innovation and opportunity to the region. Watch highlights from our recent supplier engagement day in Bridgwater!   With over 340 attendees from local businesses, we showcased opportunities for Somerset-based companies to partner with Agratas and Sir Robert McAlpine on the UK’s largest battery manufacturing facility.   It was fantastic to meet so many people committed to supporting our local-first ethos.
