We are excited to share the findings of our Needs, Choices, and Aspirations pilot survey conducted with parents in rural Chhattisgarh to understand parental engagement in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE). “Over 60% of parents reported that they occasionally or rarely interact with teachers at Balwadis", a gap that underscores the need for interventions to drive parental engagement at the forefront of early childhood care. 🌟ECCE: Choice, Needs, and Aspirations Survey of Parents 🌟 Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) is the cornerstone of a child’s development, shaping their future through foundational cognitive, emotional, and social growth. Parents are central to shaping a child’s early development. Their engagement, choices, and aspirations profoundly influence how children learn, grow, and succeed. Recognizing this, Ahvaan team is conducting an exploratory survey of parents across four rural districts of Chhattisgarh as part of Stregthening Mor Balwadis program. This exploratory survey seeks to find out parents' perspectives on: - The role, awareness and needs of Balwadis and Anganwadis - Understanding of ECCE and its importance. - Common challenges that families face in accessing ECCE - Possible offerings to parents to enhance childrens access to ECCE Watch out this space for the insights and findings from this pilot survey.
