    November 19 is World Toilet Day, a crucial opportunity to tackle the global sanitation crisis and promote access to clean and safe toilets for everyone. This year’s theme, "Toilets – A Place for Peace," emphasises the need for sustainable sanitation to create a healthy and equitable society. #ApolloTyres, through its CSR initiative on Sanitation For All, have made significant strides in addressing such local challenges, by ensuring safe sanitation and hygiene in the communities around its plant location to foster a healthy and equitable environment for all. So far, a total of 1,492 toilets, equipped with bathing facilities, have been constructed, in collaboration with local leaders and government bodies. This initiative has positively impacted 5,968 lives across 28 villages, successfully transforming eight of these villages into Open Defecation Free (ODF) villages.     The 5th Rider’s Club event at Apollo Tyres' AP Plant was an unforgettable adventure, bringing together 42 employees, including some from Chennai, for a memorable ride to the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SHAR-ISRO), Sriharikota. At the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, the riders had the rare opportunity to explore India’s space research hub, including the Chandrayaan-3 launch pad, the PSLV and GSLV launch vehicles, and the Rocket Control Centre.     November 14 marks the World Diabetes Day, which is a global initiative dedicated to reducing the risk of diabetes and ensuring access to affordable, quality treatment and care.    This year’s theme ‘Breaking Barriers and Bridging Gaps’ emphasizes the importance of investing in diabetes education to help prevent the disease and improve lives globally. Apollo Tyres Foundation (ATF), as part of its healthcare programme for the trucking community, has been running a diabetes awareness campaign, as awareness is the first step towards a healthier future. ATF has also been conducting screenings across 33 transhipment hubs in 19 states of the country. To date, over 3.6 lakh individuals have been tested, with more than 70,953 identified as at risk.
