Imagine a school campus filled with the buzz of young minds at work, their hands creating, their eyes sparkling with curiosity. That’s the magic we witnessed during our recent engagement with #volunteers from CMS Info Foundation, our partner in bringing #STEM #education to life in #Mumbai. The day began with a #Poster Making #Competition on the theme “My #Planet, My Responsibility.” Students poured their hearts into vibrant artworks, expressing their love for the planet and their dreams of a sustainable future. The volunteers, moved by the creativity and thoughtfulness of these young artists, encouraged and celebrated each student’s efforts, making them feel truly valued. Next came the #Science #Demonstrations—an array of experiments and models at various stations. Here, the volunteers became learners, asking questions, applauding the students’ innovative ideas, and sharing their own insights. It was a wonderful exchange of #knowledge and enthusiasm, where #students felt #empowered by the attention and encouragement they received. The day concluded on a joyous note with the #felicitation of participants and winners. Adding a personal touch, the volunteers handed out snacks to all the children, spreading smiles and making everyone feel special. This event wasn’t just about activities—it was about connection. The presence of these volunteers gave the students a sense of pride and the motivation to dream bigger. It reminded us all of the profound impact a simple act of giving time and attention can have. #update This past week, we witnessed a wave of #creativity, #innovation, and #passion as 1200+ students came together to participate in our #Hackathon & Race to #Code #Championship. The energy in the room was electric, the ideas were inspiring, and the determination of these young minds left us in awe! Our purpose for these championships is to introduce students to the exciting world of coding, problem-solving, and technology-driven innovation. And what we experienced went far beyond our expectations. From brainstorming unique solutions to building practical applications, the event wasn’t just a competition—it was a #journey of #learning and #discovery. For many students, it was their first step into the world of coding, sparking a newfound interest in #technology and its potential to shape the future. It was heartwarming to see students #collaborate, #think critically, and push their boundaries, proving once again that every great idea starts with curiosity and a willingness to explore. At ARCH Development Foundation, we believe education is the most powerful tool to bridge gaps and unlock potential. In partnership with Microsoft India, we recently hosted the #Advocacy #Workshop on “Empowering Education: Integrating AI and Coding for a Future-Ready Generation.”    The workshop addressed the digital divide and discussed how AI and coding education can equip students with future-ready skills. It was an inspiring platform where educators, industry leaders, policymakers, and NGOs collaborated to exchange ideas, share success stories, and collaborate on impactful solutions.    We were privileged to hear from a distinguished panel of speakers:  🔇 Smita Singh, Chief Guest and part of the Industry Division at Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority,delivered the keynote address, focusing on the importance of partnerships between industry and education to create a future-ready workforce.  🔇 nishant shah, Director of ARCH Development Foundation, delivered a compelling plenary speech on buildinga sustainable future through AI-driven education.  🔇 Nighat Abbas, Guest of Honour and National Spokesperson of BJP, shared an inspiring inaugural speech, emphasizing the need for community collaboration to promote digital literacy.  🔇 Dr K K Upadhyay, Advisor to ARCH Foundation & Chairperson, Centre for Sustainability and CSR, BIMTECH, spoke about integrating sustainability into educational initiatives.  🔇 Mr. Vishal Goel, Sr. Vice President of Industrial Entrepreneurs Association, highlighted the crucial role industries play in bridging skill gaps in education.    A special highlight of the event was the live demonstration by students, showcasing how they developed a game through #programming, exemplifying the power of hands-on learning in #coding. Additionally, teachers presented how #Copilot is revolutionizing their day-to-day tasks, from creating lesson plans to setting exam papers, significantly enhancing efficiency and productivity. On October 19th 2024, we had the privilege of conducting our third session with the ARCH Foundation, bringing together young girls aged 13 to 16 for a thought-provoking discussion on gender biases and the social disparities they face daily. Framed around the traditions of Karva Chauth, the session served as a lens to examine how societal norms often reinforce unequal expectations for boys and girls in areas such as household responsibilities, education, and marriage. Through open dialogue, we explored the real-life impacts of gender inequality on these young girls' lives and introduced them to laws designed to protect and empower women. By fostering this understanding early, we hope to inspire these girls to recognize their inherent value, assert their rights, and strive for equal opportunities. Workshops are powerful tools to shape young minds, providing them with essential life skills that go beyond textbooks. Recently, a team of dedicated volunteers from IFF, led by Dr. Vishwanand Pattar and Ms. Nutan Praveen, conducted an inspiring workshop for 9th and 10th-grade students. The session focused on the importance and techniques of time management, self-confidence, and self-esteem—skills that are foundational for success in academics and life. This was just the beginning of a promising series of workshops where the IFF team will continue engaging with the students to build on these themes. The interactive and engaging session was met with enthusiasm, leaving students motivated and eager for more.
