How much do you value transparency in business?
💡 𝐈𝐬 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐟 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬? A few years ago, I had an interesting experience. One of my college friends, who was running a startup, was in talks with us to implement Asanify. Everything was agreed upon. I spent weeks working on the legal contract, excited to collaborate with someone I knew well. Then, at the very last moment, they informed me that they’d signed with a cheaper competitor—without prior notice or discussion. It stung. Not because we lost a deal, but because I wondered: Is this how business works? 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭 At the time, I thought: 🔹 Was winning at all costs—through a lack of transparency or accountability—the only way to succeed? 🔹 Did “cheaper” trump “better” when it came to solutions for employees? The startup went on to raise $15 million—a textbook success story, right? Until recently, I learned that the company had shut down. 𝐌𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 This experience reminded me of two things: 1️⃣ 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬. Raising millions can make headlines, but it doesn’t guarantee sustainability, impact, or long-term growth. 2️⃣ 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲. It’s about trust, transparency, and doing what’s right for your customers and team. Because when the money runs out, those are the pillars that keep businesses standing. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲? Running a startup isn’t about short-term wins. It’s about building relationships, delivering value, and doing business with integrity—every single day. Foundation Day celebrations at Asanify last week!
🎉 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲! Last week, we gathered at the Asanify office and then outdoors to celebrate a major milestone—our Foundation Day. It was a few days to reflect, brainstorm, and dream big as a team. 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 We’ve just crossed $1 million in ARR, and now we’re setting our sights higher. Our goal for the next year? To grow 10X and hit $10 million in ARR. Achieving this isn’t just about ambition—it’s about intentionality. During the event, we held an intense brainstorming session to discuss: 🔹 What changes do we need in our people, processes, and technology pillars? 🔹 How we can scale sustainably while staying true to our values. The team’s energy, ideas, and participation were incredible. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞? As a result of these discussions, we’ll be rolling out sweeping changes to our policies and strategy. From streamlining processes to rethinking how we leverage technology, these shifts are designed to prepare us for this ambitious journey. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Can we achieve this? I believe we can—but I’d love to hear from those who have scaled at this pace. What insights, lessons, or advice would you share for a team on the cusp of hypergrowth? Our Co-founder just finished a 10K race. Which race are you running next?
Finished my first 10K of the season today at the Tata Steel Marathon #TSK25K event in Kolkata. While I was targeting a sub 60 min finish but managed to achieve my personal best (PB) of 61 min 45 sec. I'd say each finish (and even the start) is worth celebrating irrespective of specific milestones. Agree? Hoping to cross the sub-60 min threshold in the next few runs, nonetheless. Each race is unique. This race was special to me, as last year I missed it due to an injury.
