We are delighted to share that AstraZeneca India has been honoured with the Veeva Hero Award at the Veeva Summit held recently in Mumbai. This accolade recognizes pharmaceutical companies that demonstrate agility and focused approach towards organisation effectiveness with respect to evolving business landscape. Over 55 million people in India are estimated to have COPD. In a vital move to protect the health of our youngest and most vulnerable, AstraZeneca India proudly partners with the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) to spotlight Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) awareness. This collaboration, launched ahead of World Prematurity Day, aims to champion better health outcomes for premature infants. RSV poses a serious risk to premature infants, often leading to severe respiratory illnesses. With over 90% of infants contracting RSV by the age of two, it is crucial that we equip healthcare professionals, parents, and caregivers with the knowledge and tools to protect our children. Our partnership with IAP emphasizes the importance of timely intervention and preventive strategies to mitigate the impact of RSV. Through educational initiatives and hybrid awareness sessions across major cities, we aim to empower pediatricians and healthcare providers to take proactive measures against this growing public health challenge.
