The Senior PLC Engineer (Rockwell & Siemens) will be responsible for the design, programming, testing, and troubleshooting of PLC systems using both Rockwell Automation and Siemens products. This position requires advanced knowledge in industrial control systems, automation, and communication protocols. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality control solutions, ensuring that systems meet customer specifications, are reliable, and adhere to project schedules. The Senior PLC Engineer will also contribute to the integration of PLC systems with SCADA, DCS, HMI, and other industrial automation systems. Key Responsibilities: PLC Programming & Configuration: Design, develop, and modify PLC programs using Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) and Siemens PLCs, including platforms such as RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, TIA Portal, and Step 7. Program and configure Siemens S7-1200, S7-1500, and Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and PLC-5 controllers. System Design & Development: Create detailed engineering documentation, including control system architecture, I/O lists, flow diagrams, and control logic. Work with project managers and design teams to ensure control system designs meet customer requirements and specifications. Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough testing and validation of PLC programs and control systems. Troubleshoot complex PLC systems and resolve hardware/software issues in a timely and efficient manner. Automation System Integration: Integrate PLC systems with SCADA, DCS, and other industrial automation systems using communication protocols like Modbus, Ethernet/IP, PROFIBUS, Profinet, and DeviceNet. Ensure seamless interaction between PLCs and other equipment such as robots, drives, sensors, and actuators. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field (master's degree preferred). Experience: 7+ years of experience in PLC programming, integration, and troubleshooting with both Rockwell and Siemens PLC systems. Technical Skills: Expertise in PLC programming and configuration with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) and Siemens PLCs. Proficiency in HMI/SCADA programming (Rockwell FactoryTalk View, Siemens WinCC). Familiarity with variable frequency drives (VFDs), motors, sensors, and actuators. Soft Skills: 1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 3. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 4. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 5. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
