BECIS - Commercial Industrial Solutions has reached a key milestone in its partnership with Unicharm by signing a cooling project at its production facility in Sricity, India. The project provides a high-efficiency state-of-the-art industrial Cooling system for comfort and process cooling applications. This is the fourth time that Unicharm has entrusted BECIS as its partner in the sustainability journey. BECIS has already commissioned solar projects with a cumulative capacity of more than 16 MW at its facilities in Thailand and India over the last 5 years.    This Cooling as a Service (CaaS) project reduces Unicharm’s electricity consumption and carbon footprint while also reducing its operating cost. The project is expected to reduce CO2e emissions by about 3,000 tonnes per annum. The project showcases Unicharm’s commitment to reduce carbon emissions inline with targets under Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) of limiting global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.    The achievement was celebrated with a signing ceremony attended by key representatives from both companies. Unicharm was represented by Mr. Yuji Ikeda, Managing Director, Unicharm India, and Mr. Takuya Matsumoto, Director- Factory, Unicharm India. BECIS - Commercial Industrial Solutions Inaugurates a 2MWp Onsite Solar Solution for Davao Packaging Corporation     We are pleased to announce the inauguration of a 2MWp rooftop solar solution for Davao Packaging Corporation (DPC). DPC is a leading manufacturer of export quality packaging materials located at Panabo City, Davao del Norte, Philippines. This marks BECIS’ second completed project with the ANFLO Group of Companies.    The Inauguration was held on Sept. 25, 2024 with the presence of DPC and ANFLO Group key executives headed by Mr. Ricardo Floirendo, Vice Chairman of ANFLO Group; Mr. Vincent Floirendo, President of ANFLO-Agricultural Group; and Mr.Giovanni Pimentel, First VP and General Manager of DPC. The BECIS team was represented by Mr. Oscar Loza 罗浩思 Loza Duran, Group Head of BD and Marketing, and Engr. Gregory Lofamia, PH Country Manager.    Project teams from both DPC and BECIS ensured smooth project delivery without any disruption to DPC’s manufacturing operations. This project brings ANFLO Group’s total solar operating capacity to 3.55 MWp after their first solar ground mount project in ANFLO Group’s flagship company, Tagum Agricultural Development Company, Inc. (TADECO), has been commissioned by BECIS in June 2023.   During the ceremony, Mr. Ricardo Floirendo shared this message:  “We, at ANFLO Group, are glad to partner with like-minded organizations like BECIS that help us advance our #sustainability initiatives and improve our energy consumption cost.”   We continue to evolve with achieving operational efficiency and championing the conservation of the environment.
