Students at Beep have been placed in companies like Microsoft, Nvidia, Volkswagen and more. Here is a common factor we noticed in those students who made it to such companies- their approach to problem-solving and growth. Instead of trying to master – every frame – every code – every syntax rule – or all algorithms They did these- 1. Rather than cramming, they prioritized understanding how concepts applied to real-world problems. 2. They focused on skills that directly impacted their desired role. For example - for a data analyst role, students mastered Excel, SQL, and Power BI. Instead of dabbling in unnecessary coding languages, they spent time analyzing datasets and building dashboards. 3. For business roles, students created mock case studies to demonstrate their ability to solve industry-specific problems. 4. A student aiming for a role at Microsoft sent personalized LinkedIn messages to alumni working there, asking specific questions about the team culture and role expectations. These conversations often led to referrals. I call it strategic networking. 5. They honed their ability to articulate ideas clearly, whether in interviews, team discussions, or client pitches. 6. Whatever they were doing, they were consistent with it. An individual with consistency can achieve more than an individual with excessive talent. That’s the ultimate truth. What does this mean for you? No one succeeds by chance. The difference lies in how you prepare, practice, and adapt. It was evident on the platform that the students who made it to these companies were the most active on our platform, attended events, were very active in our communities & learned more than the average student If you’re aiming for success: Are you solving real problems, not just following trends? Are you building something tangible to showcase your skills? Are you consistent with your efforts, even when progress feels slow? The students who succeeded didn’t have it all figured out on Day 1. They learned, adapted, and stayed consistent. Start now. Start small. Stay consistent. What’s the one thing you’ll focus on this week?

Asking for work experience from freshers is not fair…....... (and it should stop.) But is a frustrating reality for fresh graduates. How are they supposed to gain experience if every “entry-level” job demands 2-3 years of it? It’s an endless loop: No experience → No job No job → No experience But I feel companies that only hire experienced folks are setting themselves up for failure. Here is why I think so - They aren’t stuck in old ways of doing things. They bring fresh ideas and adaptability. Unlike experienced hires who may resist change, freshers are trainable and moldable. Professionals who start their careers with you are more likely to stick around if given the right environment. Instead of paying a premium for “experienced” hires, invest in training freshers (when suitable). They grow, and so does your company. In my opinion, here is how companies should approach hiring freshers- It should mean exactly what it says "no prior experience" Offer well-planned training and mentorship Assess their potential, not just their resume At the end, I would encourage companies to give freshers a chance, invest in their growth, and you’ll see the long-term benefits.
