Torch bearers of BITSAA Jaipur Chapter headed by Alok Jain, Kailash Gupta, Manoj Srivastava, Dr. Rakesh Gupta and Rajesh Luhadiya organised a fascinating Diwali Sneh Milan event on 30th November, 2024 at Radisson Hotel in Jaipur wherein alumni across batches with families primarily based in Jaipur along with Mr. Mayur Patnala Kankanala (India/Bharat) and team representing organising team of BGM 2026, Prof. Arya Kumar and Prof. Rajeev Sakhuja from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani participated. It turned out to be an evening full of nostalgia and fun - a real reflection of BITSian’s Spirit and Community backed up by a strong support of Spouses. In addition, the BGM ‘2023 organising team of Jaipur that had set very high benchmarks by their way of leaving unforgettable and mesmerising memories to the alumni and their families during BGM ‘2023 also passed the legacy and responsibility by means of handing over the BGM ‘2023 torch to the organising team of BGM ‘2026, Prof Arya Kumar shared about the latest achievement of BITS Pilani on securing an outstanding A++ NAAC score, adding special flavour to BITS Pilani Diamond Jubilee year, and envisioned that BGM ‘2026 will be another distinct and unique personal and professional experience for BITSians and their families. Mr. Mayur Patnala Kankanala (India/Bharat), while introducing the organizing team of BGM ’26 shared his happiness and enthusiasm on hoping to organize this grandeur event in the City of Pearls in 2026 with the support and participation of the a large number of alumni community. Truly, for BITSians collectively nothing is unsurmountable to achieve as we say ""BITS is a Magic". It was a privilege to welcome Prof. Kannan Rangaramanujam, an esteemed alumnus from the 1983 Batch, to the BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus on 28th and 29th November 2024. During his visit, Prof. Rangaramanujam engaged in enriching discussions with faculty, students, and researchers, sharing his vast expertise and insights. The visit highlights included: Meetings with Leadership: Prof. Rangaramanujam had productive discussions with the Director and Dean, exploring opportunities for collaboration and future growth. Lab Tours: He toured the laboratories of the Departments of Chemical Engineering and Pharmacy, witnessing the exciting research taking place at BITS Pilani. Seminar on Nanomedicine: Prof. Rangaramanujam delivered a captivating seminar on “Development and Translation of Cell-Targeted Systemic Nanomedicines”, sparking great interest among the attendees. Student Interactions: He engaged with students and PhD scholars from Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, and other interdisciplinary departments, discussing research opportunities and offering career guidance. We are grateful for Prof. Rangaramanujam’s visit, which fostered valuable connections and inspired both students and faculty. Graduands Farewell Party – A Heartfelt Send-off to the Class of 2025 On 26th November 2024, the Graduands Farewell Party at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus marked a momentous occasion as we bid farewell to the remarkable graduating class of 2025. The evening began with an inspiring address by our Director, Prof. Soumyo Mukherji, who captivated the audience with his thoughts on resilience and adaptability. He urged the graduating batch to embrace the challenges of the world beyond the campus, embodying the enduring BITSian spirit that is known for turning obstacles into opportunities. His words set a powerful tone, reminding the students of their potential to create impactful futures. Adding to the significance of the event, Prof. Aruna Malapati, Associate Dean of Alumni Relations, provided a glimpse into the vast and vibrant BITSian alumni network.
