We are excited to announce the publication of our latest research in Analytical Methods: "Development of a novel and affordable point-of-care kit for rapid detection of urea and glucose adulteration in cow milk." In response to the growing concern over milk adulteration, our team has developed a cost-effective, portable point-of-care (PoC) kit that rapidly detects urea and glucose contaminants in cow milk. Key features of our PoC kit include: High Sensitivity: Detects urea levels as low as 1.5 μg and glucose levels as low as 3 μg in a 300 μg milk sample. Quick Results: Provides accurate readings within 10 minutes. Reusability: Urease-immobilized strips are reusable up to 15 times over approximately 30 days; glucose oxidase/peroxidase (GOD/POD) strips up to 7 times over about 15 days, each maintaining 85–90% detection efficiency. User-Friendly Design: Portable and easy to use for on-site testing. This innovation aims to enhance food safety by providing a reliable tool for detecting harmful adulterants in milk, ensuring consumer health. Congratulations Ms. Harsha Bharwani and Prof. Sankar Ganesh Palani! Ever wondered what’s happening inside a biogas reactor during the methanogenic stage? 🧐 This study dives deep into the microbial community driving the methane production process in a two-stage anaerobic sequence batch reactor (ASBR) 🔬. By sequencing the 16S rRNA amplicons from abattoir wastewater and fruit-vegetable waste, researchers uncovered key players like Proteobacteria, Firmicutes, and Methanosaeta at work. The microbial diversity shifts with substrate changes, showing how these invisible heroes impact biogas production 💡. Could unlocking these microbial secrets be the key to enhancing biomethanation? 🚀 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gqMP8rVN #Biogas #Microbiology #Sustainability #Methanogenesis #CircularEconomy #WasteToEnergy #AnaerobicDigestion #MicrobialDiversity #GreenEnergy #WasteManagement #CleanTech
