Nestled within the dense urban fabric of Rajajinagar, Bengaluru, the Ridge House is a carefully crafted residence that balances privacy, openness, and a deep connection with nature. Designed as a multi-generational home, it features two distinct volumes—one for the homeowners and the other for their parents—harmonized by a central courtyard that brings in light, air, and greenery. A thoughtful material palette of brick jaali, wood, and textured finishes lends warmth and character while ensuring climate responsiveness. The façade, adorned with a custom-designed jaali, filters sunlight and offers visual privacy, maintaining a seamless dialogue between the indoors and outdoors. The Mangalore-tiled roof, with strategically placed skylights, allows natural light to wash over the courtyard and interiors throughout the day. With a careful balance of traditional elements and modern sensibilities, the Ridge House is a tranquil urban retreat, designed to nurture meaningful connections between family, architecture, and nature. With nearly a decade of overall experience, Devika Lewis joined Buildofy as a Content Associate two years ago. #Throwback to A Tree of Stories and a Culture of Creativity Sometimes, the most cherished traditions emerge from small, heartfelt moments. On Christmas this december, we started something special — a tradition that beautifully encapsulates what Buildofy is all about. Our Christmas tree became a storyteller, adorned with handmade ornaments inspired by the homes we documented in 2024. Each ornament reflected a favorite design detail or narrative from the projects we explored, a creative expression of the stories that moved us. From sourcing the tree to crafting decorations, every team member contributed, turning it into a collective masterpiece of creativity and collaboration. This little activity reminded us of what makes Buildofy special: the blend of individual creativity and shared purpose. It’s more than just work; it’s about the stories we tell, the bonds we build, and the culture we nurture. As we look ahead to 2025, we carry this spirit with us — embracing every detail, big or small, as an opportunity to create something extraordinary.
