Meet Simon Doss K, our Principal Architect in Digital Smart Manufacturing, driving digital innovation at Cairn in RJ South. Simon’s inspiring journey began as a Radio Officer on offshore drilling platforms. With his expertise, he transitioned to a Projects Telecom Engineer in the Telecommunications department before becoming an integral part of the Digital department as the Principal Architect. One of his most notable contributions is leading an ML-powered predictive control initiative that led to cost recovery within just a short span of 120 days. “No other company has offered me with learning opportunities and the training that Cairn has provided,” says Simon. Proud to have built one of the greatest engineering marvels, the world’s longest continuously heated and insulated Mangala pipeline. Initially spanning 670 km, the pipeline was extended to an impressive ~705 km, seamlessly connecting the vast Rajasthan's oil fields to the refineries in Gujarat. This remarkable achievement has reliably transported waxy oil enabled by its continuous heating technology.
