  • Childhood cancer is a difficult journey — for the child and for the entire family. On International Childhood Cancer Day, we recognize the need for specialized palliative care, which remains our special focus - ensuring alongside treatment, children receive relief from pain, emotional support, and compassionate care at every stage. At Cipla Foundation, we continue to expand pediatric palliative care services across India, strengthening hospital-based and homecare support so that more children can continue their treatment with comfort, compassion, and care. Because every child deserves to live with less pain and more love. #InternationalChildhoodCanceDay #PaediatricPalliativeCare #CaringForLife

Through its 46 centers, St. Jude India ChildCare Centres provides safe, nurturing spaces for children undergoing cancer treatment in 11 cities. We are proud to support them in strengthening their commitment. Recently, we provided an 18-seater vehicle to their center at Cotton Green, to ensure the safe transport of young patients and their caregivers to the Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel, allowing continuity of their treatment. Yesterday, our trustee - S. Radhakrishnan, as well as Cipla leaders and teams, joined us to flag off the vehicle and interacted with the children reaffirming our commitment to accessible and compassionate care. Here’s to driving hope forward! • The Cipla Palliative Care and Training Centre team had the privilege of participating in the 32nd International Conference of the Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC). Through our presentations, we shared insights on: * How a single call to the Saath-Saath helpline can change the course of care * The impact of early palliative care interventions on patient outcomes * Addressing patient needs through routine assessment tools to offer timely, compassionate care * Bereavement risk: Understanding the grief experiences of caregivers across genders We remain committed to advancing palliative care and raising awareness to ensure better support for patients and their families. #CaringForLife #PalliativeCare #IAPCON

  • This Tuesday, the Honorable Health Minister of Goa, Mr. Vishwajit Rane, launched the Goa State Palliative Care Policy. Goa has now become India's fifth state that has adopted a state palliative care strategy targeted at enhancing quality care for both cancer and non-cancer patients. This policy is a step toward ensuring that everyone, regardless of where they live, has timely access to palliative care services. Pain management, symptom reduction, and family support are key components of the policy, which is integrated into Goa's primary healthcare system. We are extremely honored to have collaborated with the Goa Health Ministry to make this vision a reality and are proud to see Goa's approach being acknowledged as a national best practice in palliative care. Together, let’s continue striving for compassionate care for all. #PalliativeCare #CaringForLife

Today, he moves forward with dignity and hope, knowing that he is not alone in his cancer journey. If you or someone you know is living with a serious illness and needs support, reach out to our toll-free palliative care helpline, Saath Saath, at 1800-202-7777. Compassionate care is just a call away! #UnitedByUnique #WorldCancerDay #CaringForLife

  • Today, we had the privilege of hosting 31 young changemakers, aged 13-17, from PMEI-Pratham Mumbai Education Initiative for an exposure visit at our Mumbai Central office. These children, hailing from rural communities across five states of India, have taken extraordinary efforts to bring positive change in their communities - preventing child marriages, advocating against gender-based discrimination, organizing tree plantation and cleanliness drives, and enrolling out-of-school children back into schools. Cipla leaders, who interacted with them, were not just mentors for the day—they became learners themselves, learning from the leadership, determination, and conviction these children demonstrated in driving real change in their communities. Our leaders too shared their own journeys, from humble beginnings to leadership roles, showing these young trailblazers that no dream is too big. As the children looked back at Cipla's 90-year legacy of 'CaringForLife' through Cipla’s Archives, we saw the future—bold, brilliant, and full of promises for India. Because when we empower young minds, we empower the future! #CiplaForChange #CiplaArchives #EmpoweringYouth #YoungChangeMakers

  • Cipla Foundation, in collaboration with Centre for Advanced Research & Development (CARD), organised a heartwarming event earlier this month, at Nirashrita Old Age Home, Indore. Essential support materials like bed sheets, cupboards, shoes, and blankets were handed over to 80+ senior residents, aiming to enhance their quality of life. The event saw active participation from Cipla employees, including Site Head Mr. Ashish Zitshi and Site HR Head Mr. Girish Verulkar. Volunteers served food to the residents, shared heartfelt conversations, and listened to their inspiring stories, creating moments of joy and connection. #CiplaFoundation #CaringForLife

Built by the villagers decades ago during a severe drought, the RCC well in Girim village has been a symbol of resilience and survival. For years, the well was used solely for irrigation, with its renovation pending due to lack of funds. Thanks to the support of the Gram Panchayat and our collaboration with BAIF Development Research Foundation, the long-awaited restoration is now complete. With its capacity now increased to 6 lakh liters, this once-overlooked well provides water for irrigation to the community. A testament to the power of collective effort, transforming a lifeline for farming. #WaterForAll #CaringForLife
