𝗔 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗜𝗜𝗧 𝗕𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘆’𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟏𝟗𝟕𝟓 celebrated their Golden Jubilee Reunion with a day filled with nostalgia, gratitude, and cherished memories. The vibrant event highlighted their incredible journey, from starting Mood Indigo in 1973 to establishing the IIT Bombay Alumni Association (IITBAA) and IIT Bombay Heritage Foundation. The batch's remarkable contributions have transformed Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay over the years, from supporting key infrastructure like the gymkhana, tennis courts, and the Invention Factory to fostering innovation through the Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship, IIT Bombay and Tinkerers’ Lab. Their generosity has also expanded scholarships, fellowships, and faculty awards and various other initiatives on campus, creating an inclusive and thriving academic environment. 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵, 𝗞𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱, “We came to IIT Bombay as young dreamers, and this Institute gave us everything— knowledge, friendships, and a foundation for success. Giving back is our way of ensuring that future students walk into an even stronger IIT Bombay than the one we left.” The day included a heartwarming presentation, light-hearted and poignant reflections on their bond with the Institute, a fun quiz which kept the audience in splits, and moments of remembrance for their cherished classmates who have passed on. As they flipped through their Golden Jubilee 'Yaar' (not 'Year', as they emphasized) book, one sentiment resonated: their commitment to giving back, to build a stronger IIT Bombay for future generations. #IITBombay #GoldenJubilee #LegacyOfGiving Ravindra Gudi | Ravishankar Gedela | Nidhi Mathur Chhabra | Jalpa Vyas | Nishant Maloo | Indraneel Ghosh | Dnyanada Deshpande | Alifiya Karimi Jillisger | Ankit Koradia | Manjula Mehta | Namrata Ashok | Rohini Chaudhury | Diksha Sekhri | Padma T S

🎓 IITB Scholar's Survey: Breaking Barriers in Education Meet the extraordinary scholarship students at IIT Bombay, whose stories of resilience and grit light up our campus. We recently reached out to hear their dreams, goals, and support systems – and what we discovered was truly inspiring. They are first-generation students breaking new ground, future innovators determined to reshape their communities, and brilliant minds overcoming remarkable challenges to pave their path forward. Behind each of these scholars stands an unwavering foundation – parents and siblings who believed in their potential, even when financial resources were limited. Thanks to our generous donors, we currently support 481 talented students with scholarships. We aim to expand our support to 800 deserving students in the upcoming academic year. Through our GO IITB initiative, you too can help write the next chapter in these students' journeys.
