Having mastered the art of creating timeless ambiences of grandeur delicately blended with warmth to delight even the most critical eye, Designers Group is recognised throughout the industry for its commitment to excellence in hospitality design. Since its inception in 1987, the firm has grown from re-modelling kitchens and bathrooms to setting new standards for luxury, comfort and innovation in hospitality interior design for a number of elite clients, including the Taj Group of Hotels, ITC Welcome Group, Hyatt Regency – Mumbai and many more. The firm’s depth of experience and detailed industry knowledge, coupled with its zest for incorporating new influences in technology and sustainability, enable it to identify and implement international interior design trends that push the aesthetic envelope, lending each of their projects a unique, inspired identity that shatters all preconceived notions of standardisation and revolutionises the practice of hospitality design. For the last 27 years, the firm's design professionals remain keenly attuned to the pulse of changing industry trends and are in sync with today's rapidly evolving ideas of sophisticated living, design, comfort and luxury. The young and talented team at Designers Group is guided by the creativity and experience of their principle founders, Partner & Chief Architect Mr. Khozema Chitalwala and Principal Designer Mrs. Sujata Chitalwala, and continuously strive to utilise simple straight-line design, materials, colours, textures and forms, in a smart and innovative way to create aesthetic, contemporary interior lifestyle spaces. Designers Group offers its clientele a comprehensive package of interior design and architectural services, getting involved in every stage of a project right from planning through to its completion. With each assignment, the firm aims not only to create scintillating interiors that add value, raise standards and are both functional and look beautiful, but also interiors that stand testament to man's imagination and creativity. Essentially, the organisation transforms functionally ordinary to sheer beauty while meeting a client’s budget, timelines and most importantly … vision. In spite of having created some of the most aesthetically unique, eclectic and downright spectacular interior designs for several multi-national hospitality chains, the firm still maintains that their most remarkable achievement lies in the simple fact that their customers are never a one-time job … they keep coming back for more.

Thank you FoodInSpace for featuring 17 Degrees North Club The design of 17 Degrees North draws inspiration from the grandeur of the Nizam era, featuring shades of yellow and gold, intricate wall motifs, and ceiling-hung lights that reflect the architectural elegance of the time. 17 Degrees North Club, Hyderabad - India Located in the vibrant city of Hyderabad, the 17 Degrees North Club is a luxurious retreat that harmonizes traditional Hyderabadi aesthetics with contemporary design. Inspired by its rich heritage, the concept seeks to elevate the city’s legacy while introducing a touch of contemporary fusion. The design draws inspirations from the grandeur of the Nizams through the use of shades of yellow and gold, intricate wall motifs, and hanging lights from the ceilings, all of which reflect the architectural elegance of the time. A hint of modernity can be observed in the use of pearls in wall artworks and contemporary lighting. Upon entering the club, guests are greeted at the grand lobby, which features a modern reception desk set against the backdrop of rustic marble. A wonderful parametric crystal chandelier cascades through the double-height space, connecting the reception space with the waiting lounge, symbolising the gem industry that is almost synonymous with Hyderabad. The left wing of the lobby leads to an all-day dining restaurant with a vibrant café. This area serves as the centre of the club’s F&B offerings which also a includes a specialty restaurant. The banquet areas are to the right, each around 10,000 to 12,000 square feet, complemented by a large lawn which can be accessed through a drop-off area that is dedicated to this space. At the end of the grand lobby, where contemporary archways inspired by Nizami architecture evoke a sense of royal grandeur and the feeling of arrival, guests can step into a lavish spa to unwind and rejuvenate. The interiors of the club are woven with Hyderabadi cultural elements such as Kalamkari art and block printing. This theme extends to the guest rooms, where opulent materials and curved parametric headboards celebrate the handiwork of the city's semi-precious stone industry. The upper floors include a business lounge, conference rooms, and a modern gym meant for the daily use by corporate members. It also features an expansive bar that is a perfect place for informal gatherings and quiet meetings. The top floor hosts an indoor sports and children's games area, which ensures a totally inclusive zone for recreational purposes. The outdoor facilities, synonymous with both relaxation and sport, include tennis courts, volleyball courts, a multipurpose football field, and a box cricket area. The design team has dutifully designed and re-landscaped the architectural constraints, thus successfully transforming the entire area into a luxurious haven – a rare masterpiece within the vibrant city. #aplusdspaces After a two-hour journey that felt like minutes, our cars reached the destination—Fiori @fiori.lonavala in Lonavala by Designers-Group. The sun was still high, and we could see its light streaming through the glass house. We stood outside in the open, surrounded by greenery, yet shielded by the glass facade. For a change, it felt like nature was the protagonist, and we had all the time in the world to simply sit and observe—the rustling of leaves, the squirrel darting by with a strand of grass, and, of course, the setting sun. The space not only frames but also mirrors nature. Blues and turquoise emerge as the dominant shades, with patterns inspired by nature that celebrate the ruggedness of the Mediterranean (taking form from the cuisine served). “The client brief for Fiori was to design a Mediterranean restaurant, which would reflect the cuisine,” says Khozema Chitalwala, Architect, Designers Group.
