We’re incredibly honored to share the journeys of remarkable women who joined the #DTDLfamily through the recent #Chhalang3.0 hackathon. For us, it’s not just about welcoming talented new team members—it’s about celebrating their resilience, courage and passion. Here is Jyoti Goswami, whose path from participant to our team member was fueled by her determination and supported by her family every step of the way. “After completing my Masters, I was eager to find the right opportunity to apply my knowledge and channel my passion. As a technologist, I’ve always wanted to push my boundaries and take on new challenges. That’s when I came across Chhalang 3.0, the largest women’s hackathon. I had no idea this event would be such a game-changer for me. I was a mix of excited and nervous to compete, network and learn from other like-minded women in tech. For the hackathon, I chose a problem statement from Deutsche Telekom Digital Labs, that was focused on solving a unique business problem. Although I couldn’t form a team, I wasn’t about to let that stop me. I worked through the night to make up for not having a team. My parents traveled with me to ensure I reached on time, and my sister joined as my team member so I could qualify to present my work. The experience was nothing short of exciting. It felt incredible to see my hard work being recognized. The judges gave me amazing positive and constructive feedback, and even took extra time to guide me on how I could improve my solution. The doors that opened after Chhalang 3.0 were beyond anything I had imagined. DTDL, in search of people who think differently, saw something in me. The transition from hackathon to a job offer felt like a dream—a turning point that changed my path. Today, at #DTDL, I’m part of an amazing team, working on projects that push boundaries and have a real-world impact. Every day I walk into the office, I’m reminded of the journey that led me here, and the support of my family and the incredible opportunity from DTDL that made it all possible.”
