In Memory of Dr. Manmohan Singh: The Economist Who Transformed India India mourns the loss of Dr. Manmohan Singh, a towering figure whose legacy will continue to resonate. A visionary economist, statesman, and a man of unparalleled integrity, Dr. Singh’s contributions to the nation’s growth and transformation are immeasurable. As the architect of India’s economic liberalization, his decisions reshaped the country’s financial landscape and set it on a path of global prominence. In his passing, the nation loses not only a leader but a guiding light who led with humility, wisdom, and a deep sense of duty to the people of India. His unwavering commitment to progress and his quiet yet impactful leadership will remain an inspiration for generations to come. India’s loss is profound, but his influence on the country’s journey remains everlasting. #dhruvacollegeofmanagement #pgdm #manmohansingh #primeminister #india #leader #formerprimeministerofindia

The PGDM students of Dhruva College of Management had a unique opportunity to engage with Dr. Naga Lakshmi Damaraju, an esteemed International Professor of Strategy at School of Business, Sonoma State University During her recent visit to Dhruva, Dr. Damaraju delivered an insightful session on "Revisiting Decision Traps," drawing inspiration from the iconic 1998 Harvard Business Review article, The Hidden Traps in Decision Making by Hammond, Keeney, and Raiffa. During her session, Dr. Damaraju introduced several additional decision traps that further enrich our understanding of decision-making processes. These included the Decision-Necessity Trap, where individuals may feel compelled to make decisions prematurely; the Visible Question Trap, which highlights how surface-level questions can obscure deeper issues; the Perspective Trap, where biases based on viewpoints affect decision-making; the Acceptance-Rejection Trap, which influences decisions based on a desire for approval or rejection; the Affective Familiarity Trap, which makes us favour what feels familiar; the Immediacy Trap, where decisions are influenced by the desire for quick results; and the Speed Trap, where the rush to make fast decisions can lead to errors. Dr. Damaraju’s session provided valuable insights into how recognizing these traps can lead to more informed, balanced, and effective decision-making strategies. #Dhruvacollegeofmanagement #Revisitingdecisiontraps #Strategy #Dr. Naga Lakshmi Damaraju #TopBschoolinhyderabad #Guestlecture #Industryexpert
