With just a week to go for our South India Partners Meet, our Bangalore office is abuzz with excitement. For when do we get a chance to meet and greet our wonderful NGO partners from all across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh, all in one setting? To celebrate the success of our partners and their change journey, we are hosting Dhwani Foundation’s South India Partners Meet 2024, where all our 260 South India NGO partners will be present. Dhwani Foundation is pleased to announce the successful launch of Niranthara Lite, a transformative program designed to strengthen grassroots Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Odisha. Held on 15th and 16th October 2024 at ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar, the event brought together 26 partner organizations and 60 participants, including 47 organization representatives, 5 resource persons, and 8 Dhwani Foundation staff. The Niranthara Lite program aims to equip NGOs with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in Compliance, Financial Management, MIS & Technology, Data Management, and Fundraising. The two-day inaugural session featured a comprehensive orientation and training on the first day, followed by the official launch of the Odisha cohort on the second day. We were honoured to have distinguished guests like Mr Bismaya Mahapatra (Founder & Mentor, Harsha Trust), Dr. Prafulla Dhala (Executive Director of Strategy and Sustainability, Kalinga Group of Institutions and Partners Igniting Minds India, Hyderabad), Ms. Anupama Rout (Secretary, Jeeta), and Mr. Biranchi Narayan Mohapatra (Director, CPSW, Kenubhata, Nuapada), who added immense value with their insights and expertise. It's been a busy month at Dhwani Foundation! As our commitment to strengthening Grassroots NGOs continues, we've been part of a variety of initiatives in varying roles - leader, trainer, facilitator, observer. Here are some glimpses of a few from the last month. We launched Niranthara Lite programme in Tamil Nadu, with participation from 32 NGOs, further expanding our capacity-building efforts. We had our Grants+ Webinar on '10 years of CSR Impact', featuring industry leaders from Bosch India Foundation, Titan Company Limited, and Dhwani Foundation, offering key insights into CSR growth. Our ongoing work included a compliance workshop in Andhra Pradesh, MIS training in Odisha with the Goonjan Dhwani team, and governance coaching in Jharkhand. Additionally, we reinforced our community engagement through the Voice Programme in Chennai and the Updeshak orientation for Senior Citizen Associations in Odisha.
