  • "Manpower without unity is not a strength unless it is harmonized and united properly, then it becomes a spiritual power." — Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Unity Day also known as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is observed annually on October 31st to honor Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, on the anniversary of his birth. It was he who came up with the idea of "Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat" and the goal to bring India together. • The "Wood Wide Web" is a hidden underground network of fungi, roots, and microorganisms that connect trees in a forest, allowing them to share nutrients, water, and even warning signals. Through this symbiotic relationship, trees can transfer up to 50% of their carbon to neighboring trees and send alerts about environmental threats like insect attacks or drought. Some fungi even link trees of different species, creating a cooperative system that enhances forest resilience and health, showcasing the interconnected and social nature of forest ecosystems. • विजयी भव धर्मात्मा, धर्मो हि परमं बलम्। पापं व्याधिर्मनुष्याणां, धर्मो रक्षति रक्षितः।। Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami, is a significant Hindu festival celebrated across India, symbolising the triumph of good over evil. It marks the end of Navratri, a nine-night festival devoted to Goddess Durga. Dussehra commemorates Lord Rama's victory over the demon king Ravana, signifying the eternal power of righteousness. Maa Durga, mounted on a lion, represents courage and fearlessness. Her ten arms, holding various weapons, remind us of the divine strength that protects us from evil forces. Devotees believe that invoking Maa Durga's blessings on Dussehra removes obstacles, grants wisdom, and ensures peace and prosperity. On this sacred day, the ritual of Ravan Dahan is performed, symbolizing the destruction of evil tendencies within and around us. It is a day to renew our faith in righteousness and to let go of negativity, embracing positive energy and new beginnings. ECO Club wishes each and every one of you a very happy and blessed Dussehra on this momentous day. May the blessings of Maa Durga lead you to bravery, fortitude, and the final triumph of good over evil in your life. Regards, ECO Club #ecoclub_bitsindri
