Do you know of a methodology to solve only complex or "wicked" problems? . . . . . The Venture Center Library hosted a session on Systems Thinking by Dr. Sukanta Bhatt, PhD(IIT). Here are the key takeaways: -- Systems Thinking vs. Linear Thinking: Emphasizes understanding whole systems, their interconnections, and feedback loops instead of isolated parts. -- Holistic Decision-Making: Encourages considering system-wide impacts for informed decisions. -- Identifying Leverage Points: Focuses on small changes that can lead to significant improvements. -- Creating a Systems Thinking Culture: Highlights the importance of fostering a mindset of interconnectedness and adaptability. Dr. Bhatt shared compelling examples demonstrating why this approach is essential. With so many wicked problems around us, from climate change to poverty, perhaps systems thinking can help us address some of them. The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Cell at IISER Pune looks forward to conducting many more events in collaboration with the Venture Center (Official Account) so that a culture of fostering innovation, ideation and the entrepreneurial mindset continues and grows and networks between like minded individuals flourish.

It was great to collaborate with Venture Center (Official Account) . Entrepreneurship and Innovation Cell, IISER Pune owes its existence in Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune to Venture Center. I'd like to extend my gratitude to Soma Chattopadhyay ma'am and Gayatri for their unwavering support to our initiative. In addition, I'd also like to mention Premnath Venugopalan and Krishna Ganesh, who were the pioneering force behind the establishment of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Cell of IISER Pune. The session conducted by Venture Center during Mimamsa was one of the best. Students learned immensely, and as a result, we have successfully raised two startups, one of which is the prominent Fix This. The success stories of Venture Center startups served as great inspiration for students. Ashish Sir from Jeevtronics Pvt Ltd was particularly inspirational. I extend my gratitude to Ashish Arora, our faculty coordinator, for his invaluable support, and also to the support system provided by Srinivas Hotha.
