Today on National Youth Day 2025, Club organized it's first environmental awareness event of 2025 at DN Chauraha, Meerut setting an inspiring example for youth-led environmental action. The club members urged people to take responsibility for creating a cleaner and greener 2025 by starting now. They emphasized simple yet impactful steps: conserve water, plant trees and care for them, maintain cleanliness, avoid burning waste and completely eliminate plastic from our lives. During the event, the club also raised awareness about the upcoming Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, encouraging all attendees to help keep the sacred rivers Ganga and Yamuna, Ghats and as well as the entire Kumbh area, plastic-free and pristine. The event concluded with a heartfelt pledge to protect nature, reminding us that the power to preserve the environment lies in our hands, especially with the energy and passion of today’s youth. To commemorate National Pollution Control Day 2024, the Tears of The Earth Foundation, in collaboration with the Environment Club, Ghaziabad, and proudly supported by Summer Cool Home Appliances Limited, united the people of Ghaziabad for a meaningful cleanup drive. Together, we collected 30 kg of waste, including plastics, glass, and textiles, while spreading awareness about pollution control and sustainable practices. Our 9th Foundation Day was honored by IAS Nupur Goyal (CDO Meerut) as Chief Guest, Special Guests: Aashish Kumar (Asst. Director, UP Skill Development Mission) and Dr. Manoj Tyagi (Principal, Noble Public School Meerut). Celebration began with lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a soulful Ganesh Vandana performed by Mahak Sharma. Club Secretary Prateek Sharma gave a welcome speech. Founding and Core members welcomed the dignitaries. Teammates who worked exceptionally throughout the year were awarded by Guests: Vidhi (Best Member), Lakshay (Best Volunteer), Ishika (Best Female Volunteer), Hardeep (Best Photographer), Harshita (Best Artist), Sachin (Youngest Volunteer), Divyanshi (Best Coordinator), Chirag (Punctual Volunteer), Kajal (Best Intern). Ghaziabad Team's Vishal Gaur (Best Member), Parvej (Best Volunteer) and Zoya (Best Female Volunteer) were also awarded. Club Founder Sawan Kanojia and Events Coordinator @ecghaziabad Vishal Gaur presented the Annual Reports of Team Meerut & Ghaziabad of 2024 year respectively. Chief Guest IAS Nupur Goyal lauded the tireless efforts and selflessness of the Environment Club. "Your work for a better environment is truly inspiring and commendable. Keep this energy and commitment alive for years to come," she said. Asst. Director, UPSDM Aashish Kumar led an inspiring pledge for environment conservation, while Dr. Manoj Tyagi praised our innovative initiatives like Vrikshabandhan, etc. In his address our Founder Sawan Kanojia said, "9 years ago, a seed which we planted has grown into a tree, nurtured by the dedication of the whole team. Together, we aim to grow this into a mighty Banyan, providing shade and sustainability for generations to come." The event ended on a high note with a thanks note by Vice President Govind Sharma and the National Anthem. On National Pollution Control Day, #ECGhaziabad with Tears of the Earth Foundation and supported by SummerCool Home Appliances Limited, organized a cleanliness drive at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Park, Sahibabad. Under #PradushanParVar campaign, club organized an awareness program on Air pollution at Bright Land School, Bank Road, Fazalpur, Rohta Road, Meerut. The program aimed to educate and inspire young minds about the urgent need to tackle air pollution and create a healthier environment for all. Program Coordinator Priyanshu addressed the students, explaining the causes and effects of smog and air pollution, highlighting their severe impact on health and the environment. He emphasized the importance of small but significant actions such as avoiding the burning of waste, plastic and tires, regularly washing household plants and promoting the use of public transport to reduce emissions. Principal Ashwani Dua encouraged the students to think deeply about their role in protecting the environment. He urged them to explore ways to contribute to a pollution-free future, reminding everyone that collective action can bring about meaningful change. The session concluded with a powerful oath, where students pledged to actively work toward reducing air pollution in their communities. Today, Walk for CLEAN AIR was organised by club under #PradushanParVar campaign jointly with 72 UP NCC Bn at CAB Inter College, Meerut Cantt. Principal Sh. Narendra Yadav flagged off the rally, which moved through key areas of Meerut sadar including Sadar Dal Mandi and Sarafa, drawing the attention of the community to the urgent need of action for Clean AIR. The Cadets along with Team EC made their voices heard, chanting slogans like, Through these calls for action, we urged the public to use public transportation, regularly care for plants by washing them, and take a stand against the burning of waste materials. The rally wasn’t just an event; it was a mission to inspire every resident to join the fight against Air Pollution. Concluding with a address and solemn oath led by Club Founder Sawan Kanojia , every participant pledged to protect the air we breathe. Club honored the cadets as #PrakritiMitra (Friends of Nature) empowering them to continue spreading awareness and fostering change.
