Imagine getting a message claiming your name is linked to a criminal activity—money laundering, drug trafficking, or worse. Your pulse races as you’re urged to "call immediately to avoid arrest." On the call, a video appears: someone in a police uniform with an official badge, fake government logos, and an urgent voice demanding money to "clear your charges." And that’s how you’re trapped into the 'Digital Arrest' Scam, a frighteningly effective way cybercriminals are exploiting fear to drain victims’ bank accounts. 🆘How This Scam Works (according to various news articles): 1. Shock & Awe: Scammers send urgent alerts about fake criminal charges, pressuring you to call a specific number. 2. Fake Officials, Real Panic: The scammers appear on video in official-looking uniforms, with government logos and fake credentials, creating a sense of terrifying legitimacy. 3. Isolation & Intimidation: They keep victims on a prolonged call, preventing them from reaching out for help. The pressure builds, isolating them into compliance. 4. Big Payouts: Finally, they demand hefty payments, claiming it’s the only way to “clear” charges and avoid “digital arrest.” ✅Stay Safe with These Simple Steps: 1. Stay Calm & Skeptical: No real authority will demand money or threaten arrest online. Red flag! 2.
