Give Me Trees Trust is the largest community based voluntary tree planting and conservation movements in India, having facilitated the plantation and preservation of more than 20 million trees all over the country in the last 44 years, with more than 16,000+ volunteers working all across India.
Give Me Trees has worked with more than 60 corporations, including HCL Foundation, AXA, Cadence and many more. Give Me Trees Trust is also working with the United States Forest Service, which is the national forest department of the US government under the Department of Agriculture.
The environmental charity strongly believes in planting native trees (like peepal, neem, banyan, pilkhan etc) as they are the most beneficial trees for the environment.
Give Me Trees was founded by Swami Prem Parivartan (Peepal Baba) who has devoted his life to the planting and preservation of the Peepal tree. Because he has planted more than 1.25 crore Peepal trees, he has been given the name ‘Peepal Baba’ by the media.
Give Me Trees Trust has received many awards, including being among the top 10 volunteer based organizations in India in the i-Volunteer Awards.
