The article in Joule is the eye opener even after considering the price of renewable electricity will continue to fall over the next decade. The cost of storage, transport and delivery to the consumer comes pretty high. The worst point is that the overall cost of e Hydrogen is actually higher than the cost of removal of CO2, hence companies will end up buying CD-R in thousands of tons rather than switching to green hydrogen as energy source. What we can learn from this? 1. We need a better hydrogen carrier which is easier to store, transport and deliver e Hydrogen. Naturally bio methanol comes as the first choice. 2. Methanol could be converted into Green hydrogen at any point where methanol could be developed. There are companies that can have 80% conversion efficiency and methanol can be transported just like any other liquid fuel with smaller modifications. 3. It is better to use CO2 from the thermal or biogas stations along with green H2 and blend with syngas from the pyrolyzer to produce methanol. Please see Amol Samrutwar, our first regenerative agriculture practitioner who believed in us even before our product was launched. He was with us during first nursery experiments in February 2023. Then he applied our Biochaar++ in June 2023 for his 0.5 acre soils for cotton stalk and pigeon pea crops in his farm in Yawatmal district of Maharashtra. After having super crop last year, he has expanded to 10 acres this year. This year, he didn’t say anything but just expressed himself through his gestures. He is expecting minimum 15-18 quintals of cotton produce per acre this year. We have done our first application of the Solimix from Natura Solve which was hand delivered by Scott Dwire to our investor Sanjay P. in Nagpur. We have done the first dose of application on the soybean farm in Akola district to observe the improvement in soil organic matter to 3%. The current soil organic matter right now in this soil is just 1.2% and it needs to be 3% for the sustainable agriculture. We have also done a pilot project using our two types of Biochaar++ in the farm just adjacent to this farm where we will measure the improvement in soil organic carbon from 0.2% and soil organic matter just 1.2%. We hope to improve this to 0.5% soc and 3% som within next 25 months. The farm selection was done where soil is more sandy than loamy because it has a smaller rock bed. When our products work in such tough conditions, they may do wonders for other farmers. Our marketing team of Dishant Sharnagat , Purushottam Turkar and Satwiksingh Khagar participated in a workshop organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra , Nagpur in association with FPO Kanholibara FPC. The workshop focused on the organic farming initiative and its usefulness for the farmers as it reduces their cash expenditure on agricultural inputs. Few farmer members and directors of the FPC went to kurukshetra to see the organic farming and they shared their experiences during the visit to Haryanaduring the workshop. We thank Shri. Mayur Meshram ji from KVK, Nagpur & Shri. Santosh ji ( director of FPO) for the opportunity. The directors of the FPO and farmer members want Varhad Capital Pvt Ltd to establish the biochar production unit in their village and the farmers have committed to provide us biomass of cotton stalk and pigeonpea stalk.
