  • Reiterating Govt of BTR’s commitment to empower the talented weavers/artisans of BTR, Hon’ble CEM Shri Pramod Boro today launched the "Centralized Weavers Demographic Database" and "Online Design Repository" under the “Capacity Building Program using ICT Tools & Technology” to enhance the livelihoods of weavers/artisans in BTR. The implementation of the websites was carried out by C-DAC, Kolkata, in collaboration with the Handloom & Textile Department, BTC. This partnership enables the BTR Government to monitor and ensure that every weaver and artisan in BTR can access the benefits of our flagship schemes. Present on the occasion were Hon’ble EM Shri Dhananjay Basumatary; Shri Achit Kumar Singh, Chief Project Coordinator, C-DAC, Kolkata; Shri Samaresh Das, Principal Engineer, C-DAC, Kolkata, and senior officials of the Government of BTR.
