What if your files could stay completely secure while maintaining privacy at the highest level? At HackCulture , we took on this challenge and reached a proud milestone—finishing in the Top 6 among the best cybersecurity teams from various colleges! Our project was designed to make file encryption both seamless and secure: -->AES-256 encryption for robust data protection -->Differential privacy (Gaussian noise) to safeguard sensitive data --> A complete full-stack solution: Frontend: React with a user-friendly drag-and-drop file upload feature Backend: Express and Node.js with JWT authentication for secure login Database: MongoDB, storing encrypted files and their keys The system supports encryption of all file formats, including images, ensuring versatility and reliability. This was an incredible journey of innovation and teamwork. Huge thanks to my amazing teammates Prajna S P and Tarun Muragodnavar for making this project a reality. We recently participated in our first IoT-based hackathon, Hackcult, where we developed a supply chain management system. Our solution utilized an ESP32 microcontroller, a DHT11 temperature and humidity sensor, and a GSM module to send data to AWS IoT Core. From there, we fetched the data into our backend database and displayed it through the frontend. Although we identified 5-6 potential features, we could only implement 2-3 within the timeframe. While we didn't win, the experience was incredibly enriching, and we learned a lot about IoT systems and their integration. This was my first hands-on experience with IoT, and it has been a great learning journey. Thank you, HackCulture and Siddaganga Institute Of Technology (Official) , for organizing this amazing hackathon, and a huge shoutout to my teammates Pratham Srivastava Aviral Sharma Ritvik Bhatnagar for their hard work.
