About us
Our humble beginnings trace back to the pre-independence era when Mr Satish Chona started his entrepreneurial journey in Karachi (then part of India). Post partition and after moving to multiple cities, he started his first QSR in Ahmedabad. From a pushcart outside Ahmedabad Railway Station, we’ve now grown to 100-plus restaurants and eateries across India and one in the USA. Ice creams have always been part of the company's DNA. 🌟 We’re Excited to Bring Our Ice Cream to New Delhi and NCR! 🍦 One of my favorite parts about being in the #icecream business is getting to share something I love with more people—and doing it alongside some incredible folks I probably wouldn’t have met otherwise. One such set of people are the ones helping us take Hocco to the people of #Delhi — a city I love as much for its street food as its restaurant scene. Hocco's debut here is all thanks to the pushcart vendors of the city. #Pushcart vendors are integral to the Delhi street food scene. While cities like Mumbai and Bangalore lean more towards an ice cream parlour culture, in Delhi, pushcarts selling ice cream are everywhere. For a brand like ours, these hardworking vendors are vital partners. Their innovative marketing tactics, their hustle, and their ability to connect with people on the streets are what help new brands like Hocco break through. They’re the ones who get our ice cream into the hands of customers, and we’re proud to have them as a core part of our journey. In my chats with them, I realised that many are migrant farmers, coming into Delhi for some months to run these pushcarts when work in their rural farms allows them to earn a second income in the big city. We see them as our unofficial brand ambassadors, and it’s important to us to treat them with the respect and appreciation they deserve.
