👉 Powering the Future: India’s Vision for Green Hydrogen Centers of Excellence 🏫 The Government of India has recently announced an initiative under the National Green Hydrogen Mission to establish Centers of Excellence (CoEs) focused on green hydrogen. This project, led by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), is part of a broader plan to make India a leading player in green hydrogen technology. By inviting proposals from eligible institutions, including academia, research organizations, and industry partners, the initiative aims to foster collaboration and innovation across the green hydrogen value chain. These CoEs will concentrate on research areas such as production, storage, transportation, and the applications of green hydrogen, with an emphasis on reducing costs and improving technology efficiency. With a dedicated budget of INR 100 crore specifically for CoEs, these hubs will serve as central points for advanced research, skill development, and industry partnerships, propelling India toward a more sustainable and energy-independent future. Additionally, the government is offering up to 50% financial support for selected proposals, with the remainder to be covered by the participating institutions.
