We are still buzzing after Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2024 last week! This year our presence was stronger than ever! Not only were there three mature Danish companies exhibiting their solutions with us, we also had an exciting array of partners and activities (plus a very helpful robotic hand!) 📌 We hosted the inaugural India Bootcamp, bringing four innovative Danish companies to Bangalore to explore India’s dynamic tech and talent ecosystem. ICDK Bangalore curated a tailored program featuring masterclasses, site visits, and networking to foster connections and strategic insights. The companies also participated in the Danish Pavilion at BTS, engaging with stakeholders, potential customers, and visitors. 📌 We had a small but impactful delegation from Aarhus University who were in town to learn and engage with innovation, academic and cybersecurity-related stakeholders. 📌 We had two cerebral panel discussions on relevant themes including digitalisation and cybersecurity, and sustainability and ESG. The panellists were experts from India and Denmark and were able to provide comprehensive ideas about these geographies from the academic, industry, government and startup perspectives. 📌 ICDK Denmark enabled the signing of a Joint Declaration of Intent (JDI) - Letter of Intent (LOI) for engagement in Digital Health between the Government of Karnataka and Health Tech Hub Copenhagen. 📌 As always, along with our partners at various consular missions in Bangalore we took to the streets of Bangalore in our annual Tour de Tech cyclathon to promote awareness around sustainability. This year we also invited YOU - our faithful audience - to join us for the ride! 📌 We also announced our soon-to-be-released playbook on "Decoding India's #GovTech and #FinTech landscape" - so watch out for that! 📌 We participated in the first-ever Nordic BEST Battery Project which saw battery researchers from Nordics and India meet and discuss research and collaboration opportunities. This programme was organised with our friends from Delhi at the Innovation Norway, Sweden In India and Business Finland. A BIG TAK to all our partners, colleagues and stakeholders for making this edition a huge success. This BTS has been a big achievement and we cannot wait to smash it again next year! It may have been snowy in Denmark, but in Bangalore we were of a sunnier disposition last week - we had special visitors all the way from the City of Smiles! Søren Poulsen, Senior Consultant, Dept. of Computer Science at Aarhus University and Jeppe Dørup Olesen, Head of Innovation, The Kitchen - AU Erhverv og Innovation were in the Garden City - yes, that's Bangalore - on the sidelines of the Bengaluru Tech Summit to see what makes the IT hub of India tick. First on their route was a visit to Infosys, one of the world's leading companies in next-generation digital services and consulting, where they met with leaders from the Infosys Centre for Emerging Technology Solutions and Infosys Springboard. Next, they visited Indian Institute of Management Bangalore's incubator aimed at young entrepreneurship -- NSRCEL. They also visited International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore, a premier research institution in Bangalore. On Day 2, Søren and Jeppe participated in our country panel discussions at BTS, where they presented their thoughts about digitalisation and cybersecurity, sustainability and ESG. They also stopped by for interesting conversations with visitors at the Danish pavilion. Their last day in Bangalore was spent at the Computer Science and Automation department at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), where they reconnected with Arpita Patra and Chaya Ganesh to discuss research in cryptography, possibilities of mobility and more. They also met faculty from the Centre for Networked Intelligence. Next, they visited Hyderabad (also called the City of Pearls) where they stopped by India's largest incubator T-Hub and India's largest prototyping facility T-Works - initiatives of Government of Telangana. They also visited Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence (CCoE) Hyderabad, and engaged with the team by exchanging ideas on building resilient digital ecosystems and enhancing cybersecurity collaboration. Though short, their visit helps reinforce the immense potential of academia-government-industry partnerships to drive innovation and sustainable growth in Indo-Danish relations. We look forward to seeing Jeppe and Søren again soon! Does your university education give you the right competences for a job supporting the green transition? Join an in-person session at DTU! On December 3rd we debate how our respective educational institutions support the green transition. Join the discussion and make your voice heard! Businesses and communities are already working to mitigate the effects of climate and environmental change and to promote the green transition. But the ideas and technologies that they must develop are so new that they often have not entered existing curricula at universities around the world. At this seminar, we will discuss strategies and experiences from Denmark and India with respect to bringing the necessary knowledge into education systems. We will debate how companies and universities can collaborate to incorporate more up to date information about current technology developments and challenges so that candidates graduate with much-needed state-of-the-art competences for the green transition. Of particular interest is the knowledge ecosystem around the Indo-Danish Green Strategic Partnership and ways to ensure that education institutions and companies work closely together to meet the goals in the Indo-Danish partnership. Come hear leading experts and join the discussion, you can meet: 🎤His Excellency the Ambassador of India to Denmark, Manish Prabhat, Embassy of India Copenhagen 🎤 Jens O.
