🚨 #ExcitingUpdate: iDEFEAT TB Project at #UnionConf2024! 🚨 We’re thrilled to share highlights from The Union World Conference on Lung Health 2024—a dynamic platform to #unite, #collaborate, and advance the fight against tuberculosis (TB) and lung diseases. 🌍 This global gathering brought together thousands of experts to exchange #knowledge, #ideas, and #solutions. 💡🤝 Here’s a glimpse of our participation at #UnionConf2024 ⏬: ✅ Organized a #Symposium on “Standards for Training Content Creation”: ▶️ 📚 This Symposium drew much needed understanding of what standards mean for different stakeholders who have been actively working in training content development, and work towards a common global standards. 🌏 Thrilled to have attended The Union World Conference on Lung Health 2024 in the beautiful city of Bali, Indonesia, from 12-16 November! The conference was a treasure trove of knowledge and inspiration, offering invaluable insights and meaningful interactions with global experts in lung health. A true highlight was the honor of presenting our abstract, developed in collaboration with Corporate TB Pledge member Apollo Tyres Foundation, titled: "Improving Access to TB Diagnosis and Care for Hard-to-Reach Trucking Populations in India." The presentation highlighted the power of partnerships in bridging critical gaps in healthcare access for this vulnerable community and showcased the transformational role corporates can play in the fight against TB. It was also pleasure to have witnessed other Corporate TB Pledge members and partners like BEST Mumbai and Association of Healthcare Providers - AHPI (India) present at the conference. Grateful to my incredible colleagues, peers, and partners for their unwavering support throughout this journey. Additional Chief Secretary, Government of #Kerala Dr Rajan Khobragade IAS presented on how the state has adopted WHO's #MAFTB Multi Sectoral Accountability Framework to End TB at village level and district level at the World Health Organization symposium on Ending TB at the World Lung Conference 2024. The District #TB Elimination Board is a powerful structure for multi sectoral coordination chaired by District Collectors. In the picture he has shown, a TB #survivor who is a member of the TB elimination board was talking to the District Collector. The entire house was excited to see how the #voices of the affected were heard. He also presented on #STEPS (System for TB Elimination by Private Sector) where the private sector assumed accountability for ensuring #standards of TB care.
