Climate data, now on IndiaDataHub We are thrilled to now cover climate data on IndiaDataHub. We start with rainfall and temperature data with data going back to several decades. We publish this data at a weekly and monthly frequency, both in absolute terms as well as deviations from long-term average (defined as trailing 30 years). These data sets are built using the underlying GIS data source which ensures consistency and timeliness of data. The monthly rainfall data from IMD, available for the 36 climatic regions in the country, continues in parallel. The relevance of rainfall is easily understood given the importance of Agriculture in the Indian economy. But temperature data is normally understood in the context of global warming which is a very long-term phenomenon. But as the charts show, temperature does influence economic and business metrics even in the short-run. A hotter year generally results in slowdown in Agri GDP which is followed by higher Food inflation. Temperature also positively impacts several sectors. Power generation for example is highly positively correlated to temperature. And, not surprisingly, a hotter quarter results in stronger revenue growth of climate linked consumer goods companies. The data is currently available at an all India and state level and we will drill this down further to cover all the districts of India. And we are extending our coverage of climate data by adding data sets on pollution (aerosols) as well as custom data sets like extreme weather events etc as we continue our work on GIS data sets. Stay tuned. We hope you find this useful. Do let us know any feedback or suggestions that you might have. We are absolutely thrilled to be working with MongoDB in making cutting edge AI applications available to our clients... Pranoti Deshmukh
I’m excited to share the expansion of the MongoDB AI Application Program (MAAP) at #AWSreInvent. A program already having a big impact in India. We welcome industry leaders like Capgemini, Confluent, IBM, QuantumBlack, AI by McKinsey, and unstructured.io, who are dedicated to maximizing AI's real-world impact. When we launched MAAP, it was with one mission: To help organizations unlock the full potential of their data by providing proven reference architectures, a simplified technology stack, and expert support. A shining example of how MAAP empowers AI innovation is IndiaDataHub, which is on a bold mission to build India’s largest market data and analytics platform. With MongoDB Atlas at its core, they tapped into MAAP to unlock AI expertise and advanced technologies, seamlessly connecting MongoDB data with Meta’s AI models for powerful sentiment analysis on text datasets. "With MongoDB, MAAP, and Meta's AI tools, we've accelerated our AI strategy, making timely, high-quality data accessible across India." - said Pranoti Deshmukh, Chief Technology Officer at IndiaDataHub. But the world of AI isn’t slowing down. Breakthroughs are emerging daily, customer expectations are shifting, and the competitive bar is rising. This requires agility and collaboration, as no single organization can navigate these challenges alone. That’s why MAAP operates as an ecosystem of partners who enable customer success. We’ve partnered with the best because we understand that true innovation happens at the intersection of expertise, technology, and vision. Together with our partners, we’re building a future where AI transforms businesses, industries, and lives. This is just the beginning. https://lnkd.in/g_G4qb4w Aditya Nanda Bhavesh Punjabi Vivek Ganesh Sachin Shinde Mohit Dhingra Jack Costley Simon Eid Shelley Sansby Stewart Garrett Abi Nourai Steve Su

Multilateral data, now on IndiaDataHub for quick cross-country analysis... We are thrilled to cover several multilateral data sets on IndiaDataHub. Multilateral datasets facilitate cross country comparisons by providing consistent long time series data. In all we track these data sets for over 100 countries and country groups with history going back to several decades in most cases. We begin with 4 datasets: > Bank for International Settlements (BIS) > IMF’s World Economic Monitor (incl forecasts) > World Bank’s World Development Indicators > UN’s World Population Prospects (incl forecasts) The video below gives you a quick overview of how to access this data. These datasets will flow through to our excel plugin next month and will also be accessible through our APIs. Global trade and Energy is going to be a point of focus in the next few years with the change in US administration and the consequent change in trade policy. So, we are expanding our coverage of trade and next quarter we will add additional multilateral data sets focused on trade such as the World Trade Organization. Stay tuned… We hope you find this useful. Do let us know any feedback or suggestions that you might have. #India #Data #Analytics #Credit #Trade
