Here’s a quick glimpse into our workshop held this week in New Delhi, in collaboration with Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), the Department of Biotechnology, Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India. The workshop hosted a transformative roundtable to advance human-centric non-animal methodologies (NAMs) in drug development and biomedical research. The event highlighted the increasing global adoption of NAMs, particularly the use of microphysiological systems (MPS), in biomedical research and drug discovery. This shift is tied to a growing realization that animal models are often limited in their ability to mimic human biology. Working with the best minds and foresighted partners together and through collaborative forums like these , we are going strong on advocating the use of NAMs and replacing animals in biomedical research and testing. #AnimalFreeResearch #FutureOfScience #HSIIndia 3D Cell Culture:Conferences&Workshops CPHMS | Centre for Predictive Human Model Systems Surat Saravanan, PhD Mousumi Gupta

Researchers, if you're working with in vitro systems, here’s another reminder to share your insights! Humane Society International India, in partnership with IndiaBioscience and CPHMS | Centre for Predictive Human Model Systems is conducting a survey to better understand your experience submitting in vitro data for journal and grant applications. The survey includes questions, such as if reviewers of manuscripts or grants asked you to validate in vitro findings with animal data. Share your views in our survey! 🔬🧪🐁 Link: https://lnkd.in/gxx7bkxx #ResearchandToxicology #AnimalWelfare #Research #InVitro #Data #Technology

From the brink of sacrifice to the safety of sanctuary. 💔➡️💖 Ahead of the Gadhimai festival, we teamed up with People For Animals India Sashastra Seema Bal, Bihar police, and other partner organizations to assist them in preventing illegal transport of animals. Our collective efforts saved over 750 precious lives, including buffaloes, goats, and pigeons, from the bloodshed. Newborn and infant goats rescued from Gadhimai will receive lifelong care and love at Happy Home Sanctuary, run by our partner, People For Animals Uttarakhand. The buffaloes and other goats are on their way to finding safe, permanent homes, while the pigeons have been released back into the wild, where they belong. Every life saved is a victory against cruelty! We fought hard in the last two weeks to save as many animals as possible! We could not have done it without you. There is much more to do to end animal sacrifice at Gadhimai, but for now, we will celebrate the new lives of these animals. Here's to our relentless endeavour to fight the big fights. Here's to our promise to end all forms of animal cruelty. 🕊️✨🐐❤️ #Gadhimai2024 #SayNoToAnimalSacrifice #AnimalsOfIndia

UPDATE from our border work! Since November 28th, along with our partner organization People For Animals India and with the collaboration of Bihar Police and Sashastra Seema Bal, we’ve succeeded in saving hundreds of animals. We know we will not be able to save all but are determined to save as many as possible. There is so much that needs to be done to end this practice once and for all. The battle is far from over, but we WON'T STOP until it ends. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our vital mission. 💪✨🐐💔 #Gadhimai2024 #SayNoToAnimalSacrifice #AnimalsOfIndia
