With 240 players ready to dive into three days of intense action, the courts are about to become a battlefield of epic proportions. This is Padel like you’ve never seen before: faster rallies, tighter matches, and non-stop adrenaline. With a number of players from IPA participating, we can expect nothing but perfection. Every smash and every game point will have you on the edge of your seat. It’s not just a sport; it’s a full-blown spectacle of skill and pure madness. Sorry for the late post. We were busy celebrating Children’s Days at our academy. With a sport that is growing at such a fast pace, it is important to consider the future players of the sport. Keeping that in mind, we began the Indian Padel Academy. And today, we get to see champions in the making. With padel becoming the new golf, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to equip your child with the skills to be a closer on the court. Certified padel coaching, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and of course Victor Perez himself holding sessions, why would you deny your child from having the time of their life?

What does it take to be the best padel coach in the game? A sign off from our Senior Padel Consultant at IPA, Victor Perez Padel and Syed Imran Yusoof, Head Coach. Last week, 8 coaches were certified by the IPA coach certification program. With a minimum of 5 to 20 years of experience in racket sports like tennis, squash, and badminton. For anyone looking to get their padel coach certification, IPA’s coach certification program is for you! 🎾 The certification training period is across 5 days, 4 hours per day of intensive training. 🎾 Victor does not accept more than 8 students in one certification session to give as much one on one attention as possible. 🎾 All basic strokes and plays of padel are introduced to the coaches like the forehand, backhand, playing off the glass (back glass and side glass) serve, volley, bandeja, and more. 🎾 The 5th day is exam day when they get tasks to complete. Task 1 is teaching a shot “like the volley” to another person. Along with this they have to make a coaching plan for a 1 hour session. As of now over 20 coaches have done the certification course and we aim to do as many as possible.

As an adult, I wish padel could have been a part of the curriculum in my school. The idea of learning, competing and forming lifelong partnerships on the court is like a dream. While there were a lot of sports, none that I love as much as I love padel today. But being an adult means I have more power than I did as a kid and I am able to make this wish of mine a reality for the kids at The Doon School. I would like to sincerely thank the board and sports faculty of Doon School for believing in SkyPadel & the PadelPark India team It’s incredibly rewarding to help young athletes discover their love for the game the way I did at a much younger age. To say that the first Inter Club tournament was a success would be an understatement. 8 Clubs. 4 days. Nothing but fierce competition. Attended by over 1000 people. And at the end, CCI emerged champions along with Willingdon as runner ups, and Malabar Hill as shield winners.
