Which digital radio technology to choose to digitise India’s FM band? DRM Digital Radio and only DRM Digital Radio! DRM is already on air today in India and covers the majority of the country with All India Radio's programmes in the AM bands. It is the only open digital radio standard for all broadcast bands and endorsed by the International Telecommunication Union and ETSI. It is the only digital radio standard that uses the most modern audio codec of the AAC codec family: xHE-AAC. Due to its flexibility – not least in terms of simulcast and DRM Multichannel – it is the best system, especially for the FM band.
