Through interactive discussions, participants explored the causes of electrical fires, effective prevention strategies, and practical solutions to enhance safety across high-risk infrastructure. 🔥 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀: Experts emphasized adherence to regulations and codes for robust electrical installations in critical facilities. 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆: Discussions highlighted the unique properties of copper cables, underscoring their role in reducing fire risks in sensitive environments like airports. 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Participants shared experiences and challenges, driving meaningful recommendations to strengthen fire safety protocols. The workshop promoted the 𝗣𝗠 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘆𝗮 𝗚𝗵𝗮𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝗷𝗮𝗻𝗮 initiative, aimed at supporting the growth of rooftop solar adoption. During the event, we introduced two comprehensive guidebooks: 📘 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 – Simplifying rooftop solar adoption for homeowners. 📗 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 – A detailed resource for professionals in the rooftop solar value chain.   ICA India was privileged to engage with government officials, industry experts, policy influencers, and stakeholders who shared invaluable insights to refine these guidebooks. On November 8, 2024, ICA India, in collaboration with ITMA, held a national workshop cum seminar in Guwahati, Assam for Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL). The event was backed by CEA and BIS focusing on repairing, operating, and maintaining distribution transformers (DTs). Discussions emphasized the importance of DT asset management, quality control, best practices for DT fleets, and the financial impacts of DT failures on consumer tariffs. The workshop provided valuable insights into enhancing reliability and quality in the distribution sector, highlighting copper's role in meeting the power sector’s needs. Ltd, Oro Group, and Eldeco Group Housing and Industries Ltd.
