The Placement Committee recently organised a Guest Lecture on the topic “Let's Talk Data: Overview, Law and Careers” as a part of the Guest Lecture Series on 6th October 2024.    The lecture was delivered by Mr. Sriram SL, Data Protection Officer at Zomato. Mr. Sriram worked as a Senior Associate at JSA Advocates and Solicitors before joining the Zomato group and has an experience of 7 years in the field of Data protection and privacy law.        We are truly grateful to Mr. Sriram for taking out the time and providing us with his valuable and practical insights. His experiences will definitely help us excel in the professional journey ahead. Greetings from the Placement Committee, MNLUA! The Placement Committee recently organized a Guest Lecture on the topic “Nuances of IP Practice in India” as a part of the Guest Lecture Series on 14th September 2024.    The lecture was delivered by Mr. Bharadwaj Jaishankar, Partner at IndusLaw. Mr. Jaishankar's professional background includes stints with India’s leading Intellectual Property and Commercial law firms including K&S Partners, Saikrishna & Associates and Sim & San. His last role was as Counsel- Asia IP and Innovation at Diageo- a leading global FMCG company.      We are thankful to Mr. Jaishankar for sharing his valuable insights and experiences. The Placement Committee recently organized a Guest Lecture on the topic “Beyond Shark Tank: Building a Career in Venture Financing” as a part of the Guest Lecture Series on 8th September 2024.    The lecture was delivered by Mr. Rangam Sharma, Counsel at Trilegal. Mr. Sharma is an esteemed corporate lawyer with a strong track record in mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, and early-stage fundraises. Recognized in Forbes India’s Top 100 Lawyers and BW Legal's 30 Under 30, he is known for his expertise in navigating complex legal landscapes and enabling business growth. We express our deepest gratitude to Mr. Sharma for providing us with his practical insights and guidance. We will cherish the valuable experiences shared by him as we prepare to embark on this professional journey. As a part of the Guest Lecture Series, the Placement Committee, Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad recently organized a Guest Lecture on the topic "IPR Litigation in India in the Ever-Evolving Technological Landscape" on 31st August 2024. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Ashutosh Upadhyaya, Managing Associate at Anand and Anand. Mr. Upadhyay has over 8 years of experience in Intellectual Property Right Laws, with a focus on IP litigation and enforcement. His practice areas also include advisory and consultation in the fields of IP infringement, Anti-Counterfeiting, Advertisement/Entertainment Laws, Legal Metrology Laws, Packaging, Food Safety Laws, Tech Laws, Luxury laws and IP licensing.  We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Upadhyay for his valuable insights and priceless efforts. Greetings from the Placement Committee, MNLUA! The Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad recently hosted Mr. Saswat Mohanty, In-House Counsel at the National Stock Exchange, Mumbai, from August 12th to August 14th, 2024. With over a decade of experience in Corporate Law, Mr. Mohanty has an impressive background working with top-tier law firms such as Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., and Desai & Diwanji. During his visit, Mr. Mohanty conducted Mock Interviews and Individualised Training Session from August 12th - 14th, 2024, which was really helpful for the Final Year students sitting for Placements. Mr. Mohanty also delivered a Career Guidance Session on "Charting the Path to Legal Careers in Law Firms" for all batches, sharing his valuable insights and experiences in the legal field. The Placement Committee, Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad recently organised a Guest Lecture cum Career Mentoring Session on the topic "Navigating the Complex Landscape of Intellectual Property Disputes" on 10th August 2024 for students of MNLUA.  The lecture was delivered by Mr. Yashodeep Deshmukh Patent and TM Attorney at D&D Associates. Mr. Deshmukh has an excellent IPR practice in the High Court of Bombay and he provided valuable insights and guidance on various aspects of the legal profession.
