🌟 At Impact Quest, we had the privilege of hosting a highly engaging session on "Business Alignment with Incubation Ecosystem for Next-Level Business Growth" featuring Mr. Pushpendra Vishal Kaushal, CISSP®, PMP®, CSAM, COO, SanchiConnect, and Mr. Saurabh Gunwant, Investment Lead, 8X Ventures. The session included an insightful dialogue between the panelists and the audience, making it an enriching experience for everyone involved! 🔹 Mr. Pushpendra Kaushal shared a crucial perspective on grants: "As an Impact Startup, it always feels good that you got Grants to develop your product, but that should not be treated as your revenue, because when investors actually plan to invest, this grant will not be considered in valuations of your business." He also emphasized due diligence and co-development: "Startups should do their due diligence before applying for incubation or acceleration programs to check whether that particular program would really benefit them or not. Secondly, be open to co-development. You may feel that you don’t want to share your intellectual properties with big businesses, but by ensuring you have all the legal frameworks in place, which safeguard both parties, you can get that rocket push by leveraging their expertise and infrastructure." 🔹 Mr. Saurabh Gunwant provided valuable insights on investment sources: "Corporate and government grants are the best way to develop the product and go out in the market. You can demonstrate that you got these many grants, show your product development, your business idea, and how you would drive business ahead. If you pitch on Day 1 to Venture Capitals, it’s difficult for them to believe in the business idea unless VCs already know the founders well." Every business, every product will have a specific journey. We see founders these days so obsessed with successful startup founders, but you need to understand that Role Models are to Inspire, Not to Replicate." 🔹 Aniket Doegar, founder of Haqdarshak, shared, "In any form of entrepreneurship, but especially in Social Entrepreneurship, you need to be problem-obsessed and solution-agnostic. You cannot change the goal for which you want to make a solution. How you solve it, there you need to be absolutely agile." 🔹 Muneetpal Singh Jolly, Corporate VC Head of Jubilant Bhartia Group, stated, "At each and every stage, whether it’s early or later, the founder's vision is the most important factor. It’s actually the founder who has to be the captain of the ship, drive their team, and do the course correction as and when required." 🔹 Vishal Mahajan, CEO of Jubilant Consumer Pvt. 🌟 At the Impact Quest launch event, we were privileged to hear from Mr. Anshu Gupta , Founder of Goonj and a proud member of the #SEOYCommunity, a collaboration of Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship and Jubilant Bhartia Foundation. 🔹 Reflecting on his entrepreneurial journey, he said: "When we started 25 years ago, I didn’t even know how many E’s were there in the word Entrepreneur, so it was never the idea. But as we started getting recognized, then after, it’s been a beautiful journey." 🔹 He also shed light on the immense potential of rural India and the importance of addressing critical issues, saying: "During Covid, almost 90% Indian were safe due to farmers, they stayed back in their villages, continued their work and did not migrate. It’s very important to work on non-fancy issues and reduce forced migration. In rural India, the investment required is less, and the returns are much higher. We must talk about rural India because the larger population of our country still resides there."
