Srinivasan Saimani and Aaryan M. recently represented Mr. Bhaskar Balachandra before the Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel. Mr. Balachandra was found to have tested positive for Metoprolol, a beta-blocker. However in light of its use being justified and medically sound to treat a life threatening heart condition, the Panel found no significant fault or negligence and limited the action to a reprimand alone without an ineligiblity period. Credit to Srini and Aaryan, who as counsels for the athlete, prepared the necessary disclosures and presented the medical justification to satisfy the Panel's inquiry. #AntiDoping #Panel #SportsLaw #Integrity #Fairness

Our young stars and salt-and-pepper backline made it to the round of 16 in the Bengaluru Law Firm Football Tournament 2024. Led by captain Aaryan M., and #LawNK top scorer with 6 goals, we managed to 2 wins in the group stages with comfortable margins and went toe-to-toe with the tournament finalists. In the knock-out stages, we managed a creditable first half performance before mounting injuries took a toll and we bowed out. Shoutout to our 'foreign player' (and the only other goal-scorer from our team) Paul Thottan, and credit to the team of Rushika M, Ritu Eshwar, Aniruddha Kambhampati, Nihal Zachariah, Srinivasan Saimani, Abhinav Shrivastava out in the field and Sanjay Ravi keeping goals at bay. Special mention to our team for coming out in support, with Jemimah M. and Eshwar Ramachandran braving the cold to cheer us on!
