Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination controller Rajesh Kumar Singh addressed the protests by aspirants over allegations of a question paper leak in a recent exam. "There have been no adverse reports from any examination center. These demands are baseless, and BPSC cannot take any action regarding them. In Patna, discrepancies were identified, which led to the cancellation of the exam there. However, there is no justification for canceling the exam elsewhere," Singh stated. . . The Karnataka High Court has said permitting a trial, which would be of no utility would only be an exercise in futility, while ending trial against a 68-year-old man in a murder case registered 44 years ago. Justice M Nagaprasanna allowed the petition filed by Chandra alias Chandrashekar Bhat. “If facts are noticed, the impossibility of conviction of the petitioner looms large. Therefore, if acquittal is imminent in a trial, permitting such trial against the accused would be nothing but a waste of precious judicial time. Veer Baal Diwas is a commemorative day honouring the martyrdom of Baba Fateh Singh and Zorawar Singh, two sons of Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Sikh Guru. Observed on 26th December annually, this day pays tribute to the bravery of the "Sahibzades", Guru Gobind Singh's four sons who made the ultimate sacrifice. Although all four sons were martyred, this date specifically remembers the youngest two, Zorawar Singh (age 6) and Fateh Singh (age 9) who were tragically killed by Mughal forces in Sirhind, Punjab. This day celebrates their courage and legacy. The term "Sahibzada" refers to the four sons of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru. The word, meaning "son" in Punjabi, is traditionally used to address the Guru's sons. The four brothers, known as the "Char Sahibzade", were martyred at a young age, with the younger pair, Baba Fateh Singh and Zorawar Singh, being executed together by the Mughals in Sirhind at just 6 and 9 years old. The older brothers, Ajit Singh and Jujhar Singh died fighting bravely in battle at Chamkaur Sahib, aged 18 and 14 respectively. The martyrdom of the four Sahibzade is deeply significant in Sikh history and is commemorated annually in December with great vigour and sadness by the Sikh Sangat. Their names are reverently remembered in Sikh prayers and supplications, inspiring devotion and admiration for their courage and sacrifice. . . The Supreme Court on Friday directed the Punjab government to ensure medical aid to farmers leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who was on fast unto death, observing if some people created law and order problem, they must be dealt with an iron hand. In a special sitting during the winter vacations, a bench of Justices Surya Kant and Sudhanshu Dhulia told the Punjab's Advocate General Gurminder Singh, "Please take it very seriously, somebody's life was at stake.
