Manifesting Dreams: Our First Offsite Training! This year, the word “Manifestation” has been trending everywhere—on social media, in conversations, and even in our hearts. It’s all about turning intentions into reality, and for us at Lending Hands Foundation, this word has taken on special meaning. For the past seven years, we’ve talked about organizing our first offsite training session. It was a dream we kept revisiting, a plan we kept shelving, but the desire never faded. Finally, this week, we made it happen! While it’s a small milestone, it’s a meaningful one for us. Our team came together in a setting beyond our usual spaces, immersing ourselves in learning, collaboration, and strategic thinking. The energy, ideas, and camaraderie were beyond what we imagined, reaffirming why we do what we do—to empower, innovate, and create meaningful change. The SNU Community Connect Program, in collaboration with the Lending Hands Foundation, has launched waste collection carts as part of the ongoing sanitation project, Nirmal Datawali. This crucial addition marks a significant step toward building the necessary infrastructure for a cleaner, greener community. The goal is to transform Datawali into a Zero-Waste Village through a holistic approach. The newly introduced carts will ensure that household waste is systematically collected, managed, and diverted away from landfills. By engaging residents and emphasizing the importance of waste segregation and recycling, we aim to foster a community-driven model for sustainable practices. Happy to share about the launch of the "Nirmal Datawali" project on Solid Waste Management in Datawali village, Dadri, which was inaugurated on the 3rd of Sept 2024. This initiative has been undertaken by Shiv Nadar University under its Community Connect Program with the support of the Lending Hands Foundation, which aims to conduct a cleanliness drive to make Datawali a cleaner village. We are taking a positive step toward sustainability by focusing on proper waste disposal, source separation, and promoting necessary waste management infrastructure. Public participation during the launch event indicated that the community will remain united in supporting this important cause. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the key stakeholders for their encouraging words and support expressed during the official launch of the "Nirmal Datawali" campaign.
