Tech Sector Decarbonisation Challenge A joint initiative by Microsoft and Synapses Purpose Identify innovative climate startups focusing on Energy Transition, Circularity, Energy Efficient AI & ML as well as Carbon Markets. From more than 150 applications, the top ten showcased their innovations. Glad to be part of the jury as well as the pitching sessions from some amazing founders. With Built Environments contributing to a massive 40% GHG emissions, the tech sector has a huge responsibility in decarbonizing its own carbon footprint, especially in the age of AI. It also has a major role to play in decarbonizing the value chains across industries. Kudos to the Microsoft team for kicking this much needed initiative and to the Synapses team for curating the program. Hyderabad-based venture capital firm Pavestone VC has finalized the close of its Pavestone Technology Fund, amassing a corpus of Rs 816 crore, well above its initial target of Rs 600 crore due to robust investor interest. The fund aims to accelerate early-stage growth in 14-15 Indian B2B tech startups, focusing on generative AI, cloud computing, immersive tech, and bioengineering. With each startup set to receive investments between $5 million and $10 million, the fund will allocate 80% to B2B enterprise tech solutions, while 20% is reserved for high-impact frontier technologies.
