I've been working for myself at LotusDew Wealth and Investment Advisors more than I have ever lasted in a job. Looking back, I have one BIG regret: why didn't I start sooner! Transitioning from an employee to an employer taught me a few things. First, you already know you don't fit the corporate mould, so why waste your time trying to fit in? Create your own mould that others find attractive. Second, strangers selflessly help when you are on your own and I am ever grateful to them. It's not just hard work that takes you further, but lots of luck. There is scantily little reason for you to succeed as a new business, and yet some do. Lastly, running a company is like getting out of the simulation of the matrix. You realize all the rules you were told are just made up by people like you. You really see the big picture. That said, I loved two jobs the most: one at MN and one at Genpact. If you are looking for an adventure and want to run the game, hit me up with your CV.
