I'm Bhanu Kiran Mergoju 🚀 and This is my story ! 🔬 Timeline - 1 [ Nebula ] I was 9 when my father showed me bacteria under a microscope. I can still recall the microscopic world I observed and realized only science can solve real problems, and technology can amplify it. I spent my childhood chasing science magazines, DK illustrated encyclopedias, and tinkering with all sorts of electricals. I never felt any fascination for technology any better around school and university but found solace in solving greater problems with technology. 🧬 Timeline - 2 [ Star ] I never cared for the percentage, failed at subjects, but was still good at knowledge. I bunked classes, sat in the library learning about emerging tech, built projects, and read so many tech magazines & papers. My fascination made me look at the universe and space technology, the greatest technology that can ever be built for advancing humanity in the cosmos. At 17, I went to ISRO, pitched an idea to 20+ scientists, and witnessed an exclusive sounding rocket launch. I fell in love with rocketry and decided to build something in space. Later won international competitions and built a satellite with my friend Nimesh Khulal. We started as a startup and kept our spirits going but eventually failed and felt depressed. 📡 Timeline - 3 [ Supernova ] I never felt the dire need for scientific collaboration and access to research information & resources after my first startup failure. I decided to shift from hardware ideology to business and software thinking. Had too many difficulties, had no knowledge about startups, but never gave up—not now and never. I convinced my college best friends, Bhanuprasad Thandra and Srinivas Siliveru, to start MadScientist®. We built a real-time version of the idea (live at madscientist.tech). Delivered a talk at IIT. We met legends in the science & tech industry and learned the ways of building real things. I never imagined what we built could scale globally to 20+ countries. As Bryce recently mentioned at MS Talks, "Empowering people is more important than promoting technology." Then decided to empower people in tech with a new way of information exchange through MadScientist®. The journey is unknown perhaps that's what it makes so enriching. ⛓️💥 Grateful for all the support and setbacks, this is only the beginning of what we want to build for the future. The power of self belief is sturdy, if an average curious guy can do this, i bet many out there can shine in this world. Just like how science magazines inspired me and many of us which made curious about technology, MadScientist® will empower the next generation to build technology for the future.
