Transforming Education Together: My ASPIRe Journey Recently, I had the privilege of participating in Ashoka’s ASPIRe Peer Learning Session and Huddle in Mumbai held on the 8th and 9th November. This remarkable gathering brought together social entrepreneurs united by a shared mission to create lasting, exponential change. During the Huddle, my fellow ASPIRe Fellows and I collaborated to define a bold and collective vision: to support 30 million school dropouts in completing their Grade 10 and 12 education by 2040. This ambitious goal aligns with India’s National Education Policy 2020, which seeks to increase the gross enrolment ratio in higher education—including vocational education—from 26% in 2018 to 50% by 2035. Ashoka’s ASPIRe is a global initiative designed to empower social entrepreneurs like me to achieve impact at scale. By activating agency, leveraging changemaker networks, and harnessing open-source technology, ASPIRe equips us to reimagine and tackle the most pressing social challenges. As an ASPIRe Fellow, I am inspired to adopt innovative strategies and embrace new technologies to drive sustainable change. The #MumbaiHuddle was a powerful reminder of what is possible when we combine simple, impactful strategies with collective action. Collaboration among key stakeholders—NGO partners, government officials, donors, and our resilient night school alumni network—can spark a movement to make this vision a reality. For me, this journey has been transformative. It has reignited my belief that achieving Masoom’s vision of enabling educational access for every learner is not just a dream—it’s absolutely achievable. Being part of the Ashoka family has been both humbling and empowering, providing a renewed sense of purpose to create a better future. We are excited to announce that nearly 120 students from the Shishu Vihar Mandal School in Dadar have recently completed their training in basic computer skills. A ceremony was held to distribute certificates to these students.
