Attended IndoML 2024 at the BITS Pilani, Goa campus! I had the privilege of presenting my poster titled "𝑷𝒔𝒆𝒖𝒅𝒐-𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔"—a part of my research journey under the papers 𝑰𝑷𝑪𝑳 (Iterative Pseudo-Supervised Contrastive Learning to Improve Self-Supervised Feature Representation, https://lnkd.in/dx5D3MKN, ICASSP'24) and 𝑫𝒂𝒕𝑼𝑺 (Data-driven Unsupervised Semantic Segmentation with Pre-trained Self-supervised Vision Transformer, https://lnkd.in/dWF_zDzX, IEEE Transactions on Cognitive and Development System). A highlight of the conference was meeting leading experts in my field, including 𝑫𝒓. 𝑹𝒂𝒏𝒋𝒂𝒚 𝑲𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒏𝒂 (Assistant Professor, University of Washington) and 𝑫𝒓. 𝑨𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒚𝒂 𝑨𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒍 (Assistant Professor, University of Montreal). Their deeply inspiring talk motivated me to think about my work from new perspectives. I'm grateful to the IndoML 2024 team for organizing such an enriching event and the 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒍 𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝑨𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅, which enabled me to join this vibrant community of researchers. Looking forward to continuing collaborations and exploring more avenues for impactful research in computer vision and machine learning. #IndoML2024 #MachineLearning #ComputerVision #Research #Bitsgoa #iitguwahati #icassp #ieeetcds #SelfSupervisedLearning

#ICPR2024 has been a wonderful experience! Thankful to have the opportunity to present a poster on our work: Zero-Shot Underwater Gesture Recognition. Although we had the poster on the last day of the conference, there were plenty of insightful interactions with the other participants - some working on underwater vision tasks, some on zero/few-shot learning, and others who were just curious about something new and interesting that they had come across! Encountered some fascinating questions as well as some discussions on the scope of zero-shot learning in other vision tasks. And above all, the keynote talks by prominent researchers like Timothy Hospedales provided powerful takeaways about the responsibilities of quality research and introduced us to novel problems that are worth exploring in pattern recognition! Felt surreal to interact with him personally - one of the first few people I followed after entering my PhD, and whose introductory video on zero-shot learning back in 2019 was gold dust for a beginner like me! 5 days: several workshops, oral sessions, posters, interactions, reunion with research connections, luncheons, dinners, and cultural events later - the conference finally concluded yesterday. I'm taking back a lot of warm memories with me - having formed some new connections and spending some quality time with my lab colleagues from Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati and co-presenters at ICPR - Alik Pramanick, Sonal Kumar, and Avinash Chouhan. Finally, grateful to my co-authors Gundameedi Sai Ram Mohan and Hariansh S. for their efforts towards making this first-of-a-kind paper a success, and also to my PhD supervisor Prof. Arijit Sur for his guidance 🙏 📝 Paper (proceedings): https://lnkd.in/gYd7RW5X 📖 arXiv: https://lnkd.in/gtB3T-vh 💻 Code: https://lnkd.in/gbUZdqqj 🏢 Work done at: Multimedia Lab IIT Guwahati To all my fellow researchers at ICPR 2024 - wish to cross paths with you all somewhere again in the future, maybe in some other conference of shared interest!

I am happy to share that our paper titled "Med-SeAM: Medical Context Aware Self-Supervised Learning Framework for Anomaly Classification in Knee MRI" has been accepted into the technical program of ICVGIP 2024. The core idea of the paper is to boost the classification performance of general Knee anomalies such as Abnormality, Meniscal tear and ACL tear by self supervised (SSL) approach. In this approach each slice is individually labelled by novel Domain Context Aware pretext task which is specially designed for given knee anomalies and conceptualized based on its anatomical slice position in knee MRI and it's corrsponding diagnostic relavence. This strategy can be extended to different MRI based diagnostic approaches where explicit slice label are unavailable. In addition, various intra- and inter slice backbones are explored with novel Context Aware Multi Domain Feature Cross Attention Module. I would like to thank my co-authors Ajay Kumar Reddy, Sonal Kumar, Prof. Arijit Sur and Dr. hanif laskar for their substantial contributions in accepted paper. #ICVGIP2024
